I've seen people mentioning Mikey is making more & that sound about right from what I recall seeing. If thats the case I think it'll be hard to make this fight. Arum isn't great at making fights where his guy is the B side & if what I suspect with the purses is true that makes Loma the B side here.

Mikey made $375,000 against Zlatkinin and 1 million against Broner.
What he made against Lipinets I have no idea.


Loma made 1.2 million for Rigo and someone said 1.5 for Linares as Linares got 1.2 million.

Not thinking about the purse trajectory these guys are on it would make all the sense in the world for them to fight, but idk if they can overcome the purse differences that'll allow all sides to agree. No they definitely ain't paying him that. Or close to it. And thats why that fight probably won't happen. Hope I'm wrong, but if that fight happens within the next 12 or so months I'd be surprised.

Mikey is a damn good fighter and has a great chance of beating Loma, but yeah. I don't know how much he wants tough opposition. Loma wants the hardest fights without question. Mikey? I'm not so sure of that. Easter doesn't look like a hard fight for him. Broner didn't look like a hard fight. Lipinets didn't look 50/50 going in. If Mikey wants to be great, he's got to fight those 50/50 fights.

Loma wants it just like pacquiao wanted it but Arum knows "better" ...
