Yeah, in most people's eyes he already won the first one. Why would he need to fight someone who won't abide by the rules?

And if he won't sign their shitty contract .. no problem ... just tell everybody he's ducking and fight Spike instead!

          Brilliant!
Agreed, ******ity or arrogance I wonder? Everything about their actions shows they don’t care about the fans or have any respect for their opponent, crass is a good word for it.

Maybe I have a little too much faith in karma but I believe that this will backfire badly for Canelo. GGG is only just beginning to age, he has 2 more years at the top, in that time they’ll meet again. All of this drama will have a psycological toll on Canelo when they face off, he knows the truth, he will have to test for their next bout. The next fight will hurt more and he will lose, it’ll end his career.

Actually..it is not exactly the same fight. Canelo was PEDing and the first fight ended in a draw with a prevailing professional and public opinion giving a nod to GGG. These two reasons might be sufficient to re-negotiate the deal. Canelo's stock as A side has gone down a bit, wouldn't you say? It would be silly not to use the opportunity to pull the blanket a bit over to your side. Any good negotiator would do it, its business at the end of the day, not just sport. So...there you have it

You think so? I actually hope Canelo will lose, but I don't think it will end his career. No shame in losing to the best in the division especially after a draw. He still has an army of fans and people's memory is short...he'll recover and GGG is probably going to retire in a 4-5 fights, unless somebody beats him. So, all in all Canelo's future is bright, "meaty" and with plenty of white powder for De La Hoya

unless Golovkin sold world-breaking numbers in his last fight ?
