Loma made a lame excuse for not fighting Manny at 39 when he's in his prime. Dude fought an old, small Rigo at 130 but wouldn't fight Manny for way more money at 140 when Manny's 39. Prime Manny and Floyd would have destroyed Loma going by his last fight.
The Manny who fought David Diaz.. would have slaughtered Loma who fought Linares.
Loma is a great fighter but he's not on that ATG Elite level with Floyd, Manny, etc. guys who moved up multiple divisions and dominated. I don't see it. He's the best Lb for LB now because he's moving up and fighting the elite in those divisions but when the media starts hyping as all time great - it's just for ratings.

Hope that gets made, I think Tank should move up cuz I don't see him fighting anyone at 130 besides Farmer vs Dib winner and maybe Machado!
Berchelt and the others are with Golden Boy and Top Rank!
Make it happen, Mikey vs Loma not gonna happen till likely next year!

More importantly, was Lomachenko hurt at all? No. It was a flush, really good shot, and he wasn't hurt, buzzed, never lost composure, just kept pressing, and any judge having Linares up by 2 imo was not watching the right fight.

Based on what I saw, I’ve never seen such an over hyped and over rated fighter in just a few fights like Lomachenko with respect to putting the “greatness and top P4P tag on him. People are in such a hurry to heap greatness on him, I don’t get it. I need to see a lot more from him. I will give him credit for beating an undefeated Rigondeaux, Russell Jr., & Walters. And credit for finishing a bigger Linares this weekend. But he also lost to Salido. And I’m sorry, all those fighters mentioned, I don’t consider them GREAT fighters in this era or Hall of Fame fighers, their OK, but not great. And those fighters were and are over rated too. I predicted Lomachenko would stop Linares because the guy got dropped and cut and stopped on cuts and TKO’ed quite a few times. He should have finished him earlier. But if Lomachenko beats Tank or Garcia convincingly, I will give him more credit but I don’t even consider those (2) fighters great YET either. He needs a career defining fight and Garcia isn’t it. It’s more like if he can go up in weight and defeat a Crawford for me to stamp greatness on him. Top Rank President Todd duBoef said Lomachenko weighed 138 on fight night while Linares weighed 152 after both were at 134.6 at the initial weigh in. So I believe Lomachenko can go up to junior welterweight & welterweight eventually.

When Floyd was 30, which was in 2007, Floyd beat Oscar @ 154 in May, and then KO'd Ricky Hatton @ 147 in December! There are levels to this game! Loma is great, but he's not on the same level as Floyd Mayweather!
