I say it's either or for me Sulecki is a small middle but big jr middle. He gave Jacob's lots of problems and showed Jacob's power can be a bit overrated at times.

But on the other end Jacob's showed he isnt just a one dimensional fighter and captured the W when it gets tough.

Neither. It basically went under the radar and is pretty much forgotten about already and is a W on Jacobs record.

I don’t think what Jacobs done since he moved over to HBO has helped his stock at all

He went from a close fight with Gennady in which many people thought he won and Blasting out Peter Quillen

To fighting a unknown Arias in a boring fight and then doing just enough to beat Sulecki a fighter who is also unknown and isn’t viewed as anything right now as a fringe contender

The last year I think his stocks dropped from being viewed as the 2nd and at no worse then the 3rd best MW to being leapfrogged by Charlo and potentially Saunders and might be considered now the 5th best MW

I think more than anything that it showed Jacobs to be a solid contender but not an elite. He is a great boxer with reasonable power but he doesn't have anything "special" other than endurance. He is a Tim Bradley kind of fighter. Nobody is likely stopping him but he will be in a few Ruslan type fights and will always be one step away from gaining all the gold.

Jacobs looked atrocious against Sulecki. Only thing it proved is that he's inconsistent. During the lead up to the fight, he even said that "I've been accused to fighting down to my level of opposition, but I don't think it's true".

He's obviously aware that's what he does.

I can telll you that dannys rep has been unchanged following the fight with sulecki.. He is still in the same position.. What may be more important is that following the fight sulecki despite losing his stock has gone up even in defeat. Thats the behind the scenes talk.

He isnt the same after the GGG beating. Struggled with 2 average opponents.

I've never thought he was anything special tbh since i watched Pirog take him apart. I would like to see him fight Charlo as i think Jermall has a decent chance to beat him.

Didn't help. When you struggle with an unknown, no matter how good that unknown is, it hurts your rep. If he fought GG on that night, he would have been wrecked. I think he peaked the night he fought Golovkin.

                    It helped Jacobs get fights.
