Turkish super middleweight Avni Yildirim (19-1) outscored Canadian Ryan Ford (14-3) over twelve hard fought rounds last night in Cologne, Germany. Yildirim won on scores of 116-112, 115-113 and 117-112 and thus retained the WBC Intl title.

Ryan Ford is from my city of Edmonton. He is mostly know for MMA. He started boxing & he has proven to to be a durable fighter. He can go a hard 12 rounds which has secured him 3 solid international fights against up & coming contenders the last 6 months. He is 0-3 but went 12 rounds in all the fights. He is 36 & trying to make as much money as possible. Fighting in the States is not happening because of his criminal record but he just got paid 30000 for this bout. Not sure if that is in Euro or Canadian dollars. Regardless if he got that for all 3 fights that is pretty solid money in 6 months.
