Its harsh to say he quit because the body shot was perfect and obviously very painful. Well done to both of them and i wouldnt mind seeing it again.
Everything said here. An absolute fun fight that at round 10 had a chance to go either way. Lomachenko got caught hard, and fought back. Linares was getting outboxed, recovered, dropped Hi-tech and was back in the fight. The stoppage was fine and the pain Linares was in was real.

Great fight. Absolutely would be fine with a rematch if a Garcia fight for Lomachenko is not an option.

I'm not sure he could beat the bigger Pacman!

I clean shot from the Pacman and it might be over

No, he’s never taken a body shot! He’s probably never even seen one up close, in person! It’s instant paralysis! Legs and body are down....even though your mind tells your body to go, body doesn’t respond. The instant off switch. Worse shot to get caught with....and Loma straight stuck it in there!

He offered no protest and when the camera was on him while sitting in his corner he still looked as though he hadn't shaken off that punch. With almost a minute left in the round its same to say he was hitting the canvas again.

Linares didn’t quit. There’s no coming back from a perfectly placed liver shot like that. Not in time, anyway. By the same token, Jorge is just kidding himself — and the fans — if he thinks he could’ve continued. Linares was pretty clearly helpless, even after he beat the count. The ref was right to stop it. Lomachenko would’ve been all over Linares like white on rice, inflicting further unnecessary damage.

I don't think he wanted to continue but I also don't think he quit. The way he got up made it clear that he wasn't in the right shape to continue. The ref did the right thing.

Linares doesn't have anything to be ashamed of... He fought a really good fight. He landed some good shots on Lomachenko and dropped him. That wasn't a lucky punch and Lomachenko wasn't too relaxed. He was doing what he always does when he thinks he has the fight in control. Even the best fighter on the planet can get caught if the other fighter is punching back. I give Lomachenko a lot of props for winning this fight. However, he seemed even more vulnerable than I imagined. He can be beat. That's something I never thought about when watching the truly great fighters.

Linares kept his head down, didn't look the ref in the eyes and didn't keep his hands up ready to defend himself.

He may wished he could have continued, but his body language and actions say something different.

The ref made the right call.

Linares would not have been able to defend himself if the ref let Lomachenko on him again.

Loma may not punch as hard as linares but he can damm sure place a cirgucal body shot to disable the bigger & stronger linares!
Seņor Loma you are making history!

The animal only gets bigger & stronger from here! Linares was one good tough test. I too saw loma vulnerable not so much to be out skilled but rather more to be out powered! You think mikey garcia vs loma gets done this year?
