Well....HBO has given us another Saturday night of mismatches. Here's the interesting part. This huge young fighter was suppose to fight ggg. I'm sure ggg would have knocked this guy out due to experience. But instead, he ends up fighting a 154 lb fighter coming off a loss and a long layoff. The irony of it all..... after being denied a title shot against ggg for lack of pro experience against elite fighters, he somehow gets a TITLE shot against a smaller guy who moved up and lucked up on a belt. At 154 of all weights. So in conclusion, we got to see ggg demolish a 154 pound inactive guy, and the bigger guy get to walk his way into a belt. HBO boxing has about a year left. Two max. This was becoming a sad pattern with their network.

I looked at the betting odd at 15/8 and chickened out. Why? Because I read a piece on i Munguia that he is ******** awful, now am kicking myself.

It was the Nevada State Athletic commission who nixed the Munguia GGG bout, wasn't it?

I don't think it was really in HBO's control.

That was one of the most one sided title fights I've seen for a while. I'll be keeping a closer eye on Munguia.

It's the kind of beating that ages a fighter massively so Ali will have to show a lot of heart and fortitude to not be affected by this, even back down at welterweight.
