i watched it without sound and saw the same thing. loma was landing the much cleaner punches. linares would land a decent punch every once in a while and seemed to get way too much credit for doing it simply cause loma was so consistent

Lord, Loma was ahead 6-3 going to the 10th easily.
He should have been ahead by two points.
No way Linares was ahead.

His "flurries" where eye catching but they weren't landing the only thing that landed clean for Linares was some body punches Loma landed everything better.

Also check the punch stats complete bull****.

I watched the fight in reverse and it was brutal. Loma knocked him down at the start and Linares entered the fight cut and bruised. What is weird is when it was all over, both fighters looked completely unscathed and walked out of the rings backwards.

I'm pretty sure that the judges had seats that were just as good.


That being said, I had no problem with it being a draw or Loma one round up at the time of the stoppage. I didn't think Linares was ahead, but I didn't think the scorecards were outrageous.

I could only see 3 rds max for Linares. He didn't do bad, lomachenco is just that much better.

It was a fairly competitive fight, and as it should be when a fighter is moving up to face an established champion. A lot of linares shots were hitting gloves...but that knockdown was as clean and legit as they come. Good fight all around.
