Ironic. "To talk ******." I'm sure you're too dumb to understand why.

Whether you agree or not it absolutely was a close fight until the stoppage.

Loma was up one round even after the kd. Linares was getting toyed with and was busted the entire night. The size advantage was what kept Linares in the fight and he fought and defended well against some vicious attacks but it can only take you so far against consistent display of skill.

these scorecards were really really bad. you could make an argument loma won every round but the 6th(he was winning until he got knocked down) he was simply landing the cleaner punches and he had the much better defense. i dont see how a punch that wizzes by your head or is blocked by your elbow is as good as a punch that snaps your opponents head back and i never will. this is what happened the entire fight just tease it out over 3 minutes a time. yes linares connected on the odd shot but he was getting hit constantly and those body shots were brutal. none of that ward-kovalev "he was killing his body" with lil taps and low blows these were legit shots.

Judges had rounds 3-5-6-7-8 scored all the same. That's pretty darn good if you look at some controversial fights recently where there was a draw or a weird card. I had Lomachenko up a point or 2 but it was a good close fight.

Tale of two halves Redd. Loma did what Loma always does in the first half of the fight. It looked pretty one sided. After the knockdown, he was a little more hesitant than usual and Linares had some success. I wasn't scoring it but it looked to me as though Loma was pretty comfortably ahead. I saw him losing 2 or 3 rounds. The crazy thing is how he had Linares backing up all night long. Linares did fight well but I think Loma's detractors were looking for anything they could find and now they have it. All you will read for the next few months is how Mikey Garcia will destroy him.

I agree with you, Gillie, and saw it one-sided. Loma broke Linares down and stepped it up after getting knocked down. Typical Loma fight where he shift into another gear in the second half of every fight. Good thing the stoppage came because Loma was going to get robbed by the paid judges and Oscar.

I liked Loma before watched him as amateur, but today I became a big fan. I had no doubt that he is very talented and very skillful boxer and today he showed his heart of the warrior.
