Everyone knows what happened with the WBC mandatory situation with Kovalev so he isn't fooling anyone. Kovalev knows he won't get to 10 rounds with Stevenson.

So many of these people are always accusing fighters of being scared. For so long Ward was accused of being scared of Kovalev, and there’s constantly instances - this guy is scared that is scared. It’s all a bunch of these fans who sit on the side imagining being those boxers then being like wow I’d be scared. It’s purely just people projecting their own fear.

Actually, Duva didn't want to risk losing the HBO contract so hence the Kov/Superman fight fizzled. But no matter, if Kovalev and Stevenson both get by their fights upcoming, then it would be a perfect time for the two to unify. And I doubt many would have a problem with a fight like that.
