Amen brother, GGG is a great fighter but James Toney and BHop would have smoked him.

The young guys (Benavidez, Josh Taylor, Baranchyk, Tank, Ryan Garcia, Jo Jo, Haney, Shakur Stevenson) are looking real good too! Future is bright!
Great comment, it’s bright under new PBC management. We can count the great fights this year from HBO on three fingers.

Not sure b hop would have. GGG well schooled and has diferent boxing game than say pavlik or trinidad. He may struggle a bit against pure boxers but not like those guys. Still got to jacobs and won and beat canelo while he was tring to play boxer. Now toney vs GGG would have been a classic! imo as would trinidad vs GGG now i think about itha

Either one of those fighters in their prime would slip punches much better than GGG. And they both had durable chins. Why would GGG even be close? He struggles badley with quick footed boxers with power. Any man with one good eye can see it. Jacobs is good for today but he is not a killer like Prime BHop or Toney. Roy jones f’in stops him. Calzaghe Beats him up and frustrates him. I would bet on prime Trinidad against GGG. He is just not that good.

I didn't agree with any of that

I think there is an obvious level between those guys even only judging by the eye test..... Toney? gtfoh.....

I'm not sure if Golovkin could have beaten prime Martinez or prime Pavlik

no idea how bread see's what he see's

GGG has iron chin as well and destroys in wars and finds way to win against "quick footed" fighters. Either drops and decisions them or breaks eye sockets. Jones was bigger guy. GGG perfect size for MW. Not to big or small. Calzaghe not MW either. He was tough as nails though. I mean its hard to say someone struggles when jacobs was seen as number 2 MW in world and lost to the number one guy. Canelo is what he is but that fight wasnt very close either. And haglers biggest wins were against hearns and SRL, two guys who were smaller and moved up for bigger fights. Oh plus duran who went distancs and was even smaller than other two. GGG woulda gave hell to any MW last 40 yrs or so atleast. But...for someone to say a guy "isnt very good" when everyone of the boxing insiders say he was ducked by fighters and he has beaten everyone he has faced in the ring, isnt showing critical thinking skills or uncommon sense

Tony at middleweight was as slick as oil with a monster chin. He would have destroyed GGG. GGG struggles with slick boxers. Pavlik that fought Taylor would be interesting but Martinez liked to brawl at times. I feel like GGG May have walked him down. Watch Toney again, not old Toney prime middleweight Toney before he fought Roy Jones.

Who has he fought with quick feet, slickness and power at his weight class? When he fought quick footed and light punching he struggled. When he fought slick but slow footed with power he got a draw. And when he fought some what slick with foot speed and power he received a gift. Please show me some evidence of GGG being able to deal with slickness and foot speed with power at his weight? He hasn’t fought but 1-2 guys that come close.
