If Shyte steam rolls Ortiz (which I don't see happening) then he will be the official mandatory. At that point he is next in line and it will be well deserved.

Ortiz getting a final eliminator under wbc after a loss is corruption on its own.
Breazeale have not beating any decent fighter of note to get a mandatory.
Whyte is a more competitive fight for wilder which wbc is trying hard to avoid.
If whyte was to be my brother or my fighter I will advice him to follow the IBF route cos even after beating Ortiz, wbc will still have another reason why he can't fight wilder and make him wait for another 2yrs.
