Would you take a H.S. Football Player and put him in the NFL? Why not?
Well I think the man-strength thing isn't about a under 18 kid & an adult. Generally we are talking about adults only in these cases.

Cuz I mean I definitely agree there are big changes happening in the body in your HS years. And I suppose there is some range, that Haney at 19 would be included in, that is still a part of the maturity process of a child becoming a man.

So I guess if thats what we are talking about then I believe there is a man strength transition that can happen, but even then idk if it always happens & idk that its happening THAT much later in life (early 20 something) as some people act like/talk about.

So you don't believe in the term "physical prime?" I guess I would say, if you believe that age affects fighters over 35, then you should accept age is a factor for fighters under 25.

Idk what physical prime has to do with not KOing people to suddenly KOing people as all this man strength stuff is usually attributed to doing for guys.

I think its more likely you made some changes in your training habits, got a lil bit more a snap to your punch after working on that or that type of thing than randomly at 21 you got "man strength" & can open pickle jars easier now is I guess my stance on this topic.

And I'd be cool with less meaningful to the top 20 fighters in the world to be stopped sooner or where there isn't a certain level of competitiveness. But Menard had lost all previous rounds in my eyes (didn't hear the judges scorecards) & never seemed close to even hitting Haney good let alone to the point of KOing him/hurting him. I really don't see the point in these fights going on when its a one man show.

Either improve the matchmaking for events or stop mismatches earlier. I'd be for either option & honestly both options if we could make them rules.
          100% agree

            I agree.

The only way to get "man strength" is to train for "man strength". You can be weaker and slower at 25 than you were at 17 if you don't work towards becoming stronger and faster. You would also most likely have the same strength at 25 as you had when you were 18, if you continued to do the exact same exercises with the same intensity and same nutrition (calories, macro and micro-nutrients). "Man strength" is a ****** concept.

Physical prime is almost always mid to late twenties. However, cognition develops progressively.

So even when a guys body is slowing down early 30s his mind is sharper than ever. That is, of course, if you use your head...some fighters rely solely on speed, reflexes, stamina, and/or punch resistance without adapting their technique...those guys tend not to age well

                Here's an interesting idea:

If one fighter wins seven straight rounds on at least 2/3 judges scorecards...stop the fight.

                This would particularly help mismatches
