How do people love PBC but hate Hearn's new venture?

Can someone tell me why these crackheads love Al Haymon to bits and hate Eddie Hearn and calling his new thing pathetic?

    Both have:
    • Free to air fights (although Haymon wasted all his money so now the big fights are back on cable)
    • No PPV
    • Work with different promoters
    • Bringing new ideas to boxing

Why are people hating/loving the same thing? Is it blind nationalism?

Are people just idiots? Or are the Al Haymon fans just not real boxing fans?

I don't get how Hearn's new idea could in anyway whatsoever not be loved by real boxing fans. He has double the budget of SHO and HBO put together!

You know what that means? Bigger, better fights! Consistently.

Anyway, hate along. Same old boring crap from the idiots on NSB

This is not the same thing that pbc was supposed to be. How is $20 a month “free to air”?

The only way this is any good is if it fully replaces hbo sho and espn. What makes you think people want to pay even more for boxing?

I thought the streaming was a pay service not free.

A man and his son were travelling on a camel. When they passed by a town the locals said "Shame on these two for overburdening this camel!", so the boy lept off.

Soon after the locals said to them "Shame on this man! Making his son walk whilst he rides comfortably on a camel". So the man lept off and let his son ride the camel.

Thereafter the locals said "Shame on this young boy! Making his father walk whilst he enjoys the comfort of a camel".
Moral of the story; No matter what you do you can't please everyone. No matter what happens, you'll always find people complaining.

              Bunch of whinebags.

I like both, but I love that the PBC is free and accessible by all fans. When you get fights that get viewed by 6 million people, that's a great way to create new fans.

Boxing's popularity died when it went onto subscription channels like HBO and Showtime as well as ppv. This streaming service just perpetuates that.

I'm glad I'll be getting to see good fights more often however.

                    I dont understand it either.
If you have some skepticism thats fine. No one knows if the american audience will welcome DAZN
as a proper Streaming Service for sports. But many posters here are having a really hard time giving Hearn any props at all for landing that deal.

At the end of the day, the more money is invested in boxing, the more and hopefully better fights we will get.
