The way Wlad describes it, Wilder is the HW Pacquiao and AJ is the HW Mayweather.

Wilder does not want this fight. He seems to be comfortable with the WBC belt he bought

I'm pretty sure if Joshua got caught doping, quit boxing for 2 years and then gained 200 pounds he wouldn't be talking about him shining either.
Chicken! But he's BACK NOW after re-evaluating his issues and his LIFE! He beat the HUGGING Clinch Fest Monster with SUPERB counter punching and footwork TWO years before your hero got laid out and came back with his 26yr old YOUNG prime (possibly DRUGGED) rally. BIG RESPECT to Fury for the courage to make a comeback!!

The point dude is that there is no SHINING for Klitschko in either case because he LOST - BOTH TIMES! Evaluating his status by getting his butt kicked by a young prime JUICED buck is idiotic! We don't know if BOTH guys were JUICED when they went at it, so don't be so casual praising your heros and critisizing others who were PREVIOUSLY caught. You seem to be following your hero Klitschkos example. Chicken now SHINES because Klitschko wasnt caught using PEDs......

I’m from the U.K. so I have seen all of Tyson fights. He is just ok. When he fought Vladimir I was convinced he would get a pummelling. Now this is why I don’t give Tyson as much credit as most people do. Did Tyson show me anything in that fight that I had not seen? No, he didn’t box or fight out of his skin he fought how he always fight. Now the seasoned bro in Klitschko I thought such a style would not phase him. It inevitably did and credit has to go to Fury for his awkwardness but it was a dire showing from Klitschko. He didn’t even want to throw a shot and at least miss, was very bizarre. The 12th round which was obviously too late was the only time he attempted to fight and Tyson looked flustered in that round. I look at that fight and I think From Tyson perspective it was perfect conditions. Klitscho never threw a punch and he could dance around him at will. That is the best possible scenario for him. Yet going against Tyson you always stand a chance if you can **** because he is susceptible to being put down.

The Klitscho vs Tyson Fury 2 would have told me a lot because I was confident Klitscho was going to let his hands go and if Fury ended up victorious then I would have hailed him as the truth. So unfortunately I’m not sold on him yet. He is like a Paulie Malignaggi of the heavyweights. A very down to earth guy though I met him in Bolton once by the reebok stadium
I hear you man, that 2nd fight wouldve answered a lot of questions. "Yet going against Tyson you always stand a chance if you can **** because he is susceptible to being put down.".......I think youre right, but that "awkwardness" seems to be really hard to get around......I guess time will tell if he's a real threat. Like Lennox he's so big & heavy that opponents seem to focus only on his "style," but when they get hit they realize that this is truly a BIG man (minus the powerful muscle look)........

When they decided to give Pacquiao a major push, they pretended that JMM didn’t have a loss to Chris John a year or two before the rematch with Manny.

They also pretend that Erik Morales wasn’t completely outclassed by Zahir Raheem smack in the middle of his trilogy with Manny. They also pretend that during the trilogy, Morales was in the mist of a 1-5 string, with the only win coming against Manny. Loses to Barrera and David Diaz bookend the trilogy.

They also pretended that Cotto wasn’t completely outclassed by Austin Trout a year or two prior to Miguel’s fight against Canelo. At the time, Canelo-Cotto was the biggest event that could be made. So they had to pretend that Cotto hadn’t already shown noticeable signs of slippage.

The Wladimir/Fury/AJ thing is no different. AJ sells a lot of tickets. So they had to push the Wladimir fight as a changing of the guard. Which is difficult to do if they acknowledge that the guard had already been passed a couple years prior.

Boxing has always taken on the old WWE motto of “if it didn’t happen on TV, it didn’t happen.” The best example is when Hulk Hogan fought André the Giant at Wrestlemania. The biggest intrigue going into that match was whether Hogan could become the “first man to bodyslam André.” Even though it was common knowledge that André had been slammed by multiple guys, including Hogan, on several occasions prior to that match. It’s human nature for fans to wanna believe they’re watching or have watched something great. Which makes it extremely easy to sell them dreams. AJ is simply the most recent dream being sold.
That is what I call an EDUCATED post!......more posts like that can clear up a lot of confusion on these boards. I guess I can add when the Zab & Mayweather fight was built up as two ultra slick fighters about to go at it, but Zab, just a fight before, got his butt handed to him by Baldomir. And when Oscar "really" lost to Felix Sturm before the big catchweight fight against Hopkins.

I see your great points, but its also up to me/us to call out the hype for what it is. Fury beat the champ 1st AND easily. Fury may have problems sorting out his personality & life (and his life now seems to be the butt of all condescending put down "jokes"), but thru it all, he put his head together enough to thoroughly embarrass Thee Champ! Wlad can ignore the fact, talk as though it never happened, he can stuff it in a crate and have Joshua stand on it. But It'll always be a fact: Tyson Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko two years plus before AJ had a crack at him.

Your post took me down memory lane....Mil Mascaras, Dusty Rhodes, Bruno Samartino etc.,.....man oh man.......
