Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: I'm Confident That Linares Will Beat Lomachenko

Vasyl Lomachenko says he needed to take the Jorge Linares fight in order to go down in the history books. The 30-year-old double Olympic gold medalist will be looking to become a three-weight world champion when he moves up to 135-pounds this Saturday to take on the reigning WBA and Ring Magazine lightweight world champion, live and exclusive on BoxNation.

This is the only fight where i want GBP to flex its power and influence the judges in favor of Linares.

I'm sensing a close fight with cries of robbery on the losing side.

          This fight makes me nervous.
I hope Loma pulls it off.

They may be right, this is probably Loma's toughest fight so far. Russell Jr was pretty good, but not as big as Linares obviously. Hoping Jorge wins, but there's always that ominous Loma with his skill set to deal with.

I will be a fan of Loma if he can make Jorge retire. The winner should next face Mikey Garcia for the money. 😎

With Loma moving up against an experienced fighter with big body frame, I fear for Loma.

I’m also confident that when Gomez called Abel Sanchez a crackhead, he meant “Oscar is a crackhead” then Oscar gave the big thumbs up!
