WBC super welterweight champion Oscar De La Hoya reportedly is ready to reveal his future plans on Wednesday, and word is those plans don't involve IBF welterweight king Floyd Mayweather Jr., at least for the balance of 2006. There is speculation that the Golden Boy could call it a career. De La Hoya tore a muscle in his left forearm during his demolition of Ricardo Mayorga in May and according to the L.A. Times, he is also suffering from a slight tear of the rotator cuff. Golden Boy Promotion had September 16 reserved at HBO for Oscar's return.
