I didn't say it was dead. I was asking a question & making a wicked witch of the west jok. Quit being simple & argumentative about some sh^t I wasn't saying.

But yea it does seem like their is a trajectory moving away from PPV if you are looking at the details with these deals. There seem to be less boxing & MMA PPV's that will be scheduled with these current deals that will be starting soon enough.

Idk about dead, but I don't think PPV is long term viable necessarily. Although if it is to survive long term they are gonna need to enhance the product sooner or f#cking later. PPV has been the same since the f#cking 90's I think more or less. Thats not helping build up the PPV model.

Now that i understand how this deal works i have to say that i cant see it not working. someone stop me and correct me if im wrong.. all the big named fighters went and signed with haymon because why? haymon had all the money about half a billion dollars am i right with that? he was paying his fighters crazy money to fight..as some say on here that money has ran out and we are getting huge names that were fighting once a year or twice.

Fast forward to today... Now hearn has a billion dollars over 8 years to play with and sign fighters.. he is the new man on the block with all the money so i would think that all the fighters who hearn wants to sign will have a tough time telling him no when he will be offering them even more than haymon did.

since hearn doesnt buy air time with a network and has a platform with dazn his money will not run out.

This means if the too fighters want to get paid the most money they will sign with hearn now and like it or not hearn will now be putting on the best fights. If your a fight fan and want to see the best fights why wouldnt u pay $10-$20 per month? ur paying $10 per month for hbo now and we are getting such grbage fights not to mention with hearns deal there is no $60-$100 ppv fights, u get then for the price your paying..

imagine having al haymons stable of fighters with 16 full cards per year!! now the best guys can fight basically as much as they want to.

fellas this is absolutely great for all of us fight fans!! we should absolutely be rooting for hearn to sign as many big named fighters as possible and then EVERYONE

now heres where it gets tricky... say the fertitas take zuffa boxing seriously, being the billionaires they are, they can basically sign all the fighters hearn is going after.. zuffa can really fk this entire deal for hearn up!

You said Haymon got all the guys cause he was paying a lot. Most of them were with Haymon way before pbc was even a thing. Spence broner Charlos wilder Danny Garcia. They have been with him for years

It's a billion dollar deal supposedly, over the course of 8 years, which breaks down to 125 million a year. This dude has to put out 32 cards with that 125, which breaks down to 3.9 million each card.

The top level PBC guys are already making between 1.25-2 million without a promoter, so unless Hearn is going after the mid-tier fighters (like the charlos) I don't see the incentive for the top level guys to jump ship.

Even if he does get mid level fighters like the charlos, are you willing to pay $20/month to see them fight, when you already can for half that?

Hearn's plan involves overpaying guys like that, and passing the costs off to you, the consumer.

Hearn wants to take a bunch of guys who are not main event fighters, who you would pay $10 to see on undercards, throw them in main events, and charge you $20 to watch now.

U aren't getting any US PPV fights through Hearns. He might be talking about the Sky PPV. GB, TopRank, HBO or Showtime will never sell them the rights to their PPVs to stream to US customers. They might sell them the rights to stream them to overseas customers. This service is only in 5 countries now. Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and Austria. Hearn already said that a AJ/Wilder would not be a fight that would be on there because Showtime would b showing it

These Haymon boys may as well be in a cult. I’d be very surprised if anyone leaves him. I remember when quillen threatened to retire if anything happened to Haymon.
