Just saw this. That's interesting how he works out. Loma dads is the best trainer right now imo. Discuss.

The number charts on the wall are interesting.

They are used to promote mental alertness, and develop hand eye coordination with peripheral vision. The numbers are in no particular order, generated randomly by a computor program then printed out and stuck on the wall.

The idea is that you are told to focus your eyes on a particular number near the centre of the chart, meaning you can only see the other numbers peripherally, out of the corners of your eyes.

You are then told to do simple mental arithmatic calculations, eg, add 3 to every number between 1 and 10, and touch the answers on the chart with either hand as quickly as you can .. without taking your focus off the original number and scanning the chart.

You can see how that would help a fighter like Loma, who uses angles a lot and sometimes both evades and throws punches while seemingly not even looking at his opponent.

Loma and the other fighters trained by his dad do those mental drills at the end of a physical workout when they are feeling tired and drained.

Anatoli Lomachenko seems pretty intelligent and aware of some risks of boxing

Usyk trains at Loma's gym when he is in the States. His reaction when Elie Seckbach asks him about the number charts is amusing!
