Damage control for what? Prograis didn't want to wait one more fight for his title **** so he entered the tournament instead...since Prograis doesn't that that much of a fan base the fight needed to be built, but he will make more money in tournament. If he really wanted the title **** he could of had it before end of the year.

He's the mandatory why would he wait one more fight? That tournament has more to offer than a fight with Ramirez. And you sound silly talking about fan bases. Since when did that matter? Floyd has everyone thinking they can do what Floyd did. Ramirez doesn't have much of a fan base either. I guess you missed when he got put on the undercard for his title shot and less than 5,000 people showed up and most of them where there for the Irish kid.
