they offered him 1.5mil (Quillin money), and then quickly ran off to fight a scrub..... rinse wash repeat

that fight had to be ordered, or it would never have happened

and no, they did not cheerfully offer Danny more money.....

1) they strung the negotiation along for MONTHS, costing Golovkin a fight date (LOL)

2) they called for an early purse bid

3) they stuck to the 25/75 split like **** on a blanket, until well-after the 11th hour..... and only relented when it became obvious that they were trying to kill the fight

you guys who call Golovkin a fearless warrior for carrying on like that are muppets

everything you said only proves ggg was trying to make the fight and put pressure on jacobs to fight. they called for an early purse bid cause jacobs wasnt happy with the money so this put more pressure on jacobs to accept the deal already offered.

when it became obvious jacobs was going to walk away from the fight cause he didn't want to accept 25 percent(you would have called ggg a duck if it went to purse bid and jacobs refused to fight lmao) ggg's team relented and gave jacobs the money he wanted.

pretty standard negotiating tactics and using pressure points by both sides. but you know what happened? jacobs team realized ggg wanted the fight more than them and used that pressure point to their advantage to get paid more. ggg easily could have killed the fight but the fact that the fight happened and jacobs got 40 percent kind of kills your entire argument but in fantasy land sure ggg tried to duck jacobs

you may pay attention but there is no point because you can come up with hte same exact nonsensical arguments while saving time by not paying attention

i have more to add about jacobs and his "star power"

jacobs-quillin did less than 400k viewers on showtime. horrible.

jacobs next fight was on the undercard and he made 550k. 1.5 million is a very very generous starting offer from team ggg. just because jacobs was massively overpaid to get into the ring with quillin does not mean gggs team has to overpay him(but he did).

in reality ggg was willing to overpay jacobs just like haymon did just so he could fight him! he didn't have to do this at all! yet you spin this into ggg was trying to avoid him. its completely illogical.

ggg's starting offer was much more than 25 percent which showed he clearly wanted jacobs to accept and get the fight done as soon as possible and avoid the purse bid. they knew jacobs would reject more than 25 percent when thats all he would be entitled to at purse bid? uhhh illogical

you make a good point..... but imho, their position is both smart, and not smart

1) it absolutely does put the ball back in Golovkin's court..... if they want Canelo to start testing soon, then they will have to get the fight signed, soon

2) it gives Team Bullshht an excuse to kill the fight, and I am suggesting that because of..... a) their history of making silly excuses to kill good fights..... b) their recent fascination with Murata, which is caused by..... c) their desire (NEED, because, they got nothing else to show after more than a decade as a pro) to break Hopkins record

maybe Canelo should start testing just to remove their excuse ?

I was sure that Golovkin will...... break Hopkins record by beating yet another no-hoper, bank that Canelo money, and then retire..... but maybe they will just break Hopkins record and then retire without rematching Canelo?..... because, recently they have not sounded confident, and have not sounded positive about the fight

I think they know that Canelo will win the rematch, and could be looking for an excuse to fight Murata..... whether that is to guarantee Golovkin breaks Hopkins record, before the risky Canelo fight..... or just to break Hopkins record and then retire, I am not sure

if Golovkin is financially secure, he may choose to break Hopkins record and then retire undefeated, rather than lose to the fat red kid
