completely forgetting that pretty much everyone knew that ggg was fighting on may 5th weekend the fact that canelo wasn't fighting didnt change that either......

and if they think the fans are dumb then they have another thing coming lots of people knew he had no chance especially with rousey's whack ass trainer

For instance, I want GGG to make as much money as he possibly can as a fighter. So when he shuns fights against Dervy, Andrade, BJS, etc to protect the Alvarez rematch and money, I'm disappointed but I understand. What I get upset about, is his fans trying to justify it as something other than a business decision by criticizing other fighters, misrepresenting facts, or regurgitating the dumb **** Sanchez says.
Exactly and those same silly fans were voting in a poll (at a rate of 69%) that he should NOT drop the IBF belt and fight Canelo for $20 million next.

That explains everything you need to know about that bunch. In what world is it wise to pass up $20 million for $2 million with unknown risk for a 36 year old fighter? Lol crazy stuff

Canelo v. kirkland did 2.2 mill in 2013. Hopkins vs. Tarver cleared 2mill in 2006. so i guess it is a thing just doesnt happen often,

yup drew less viewers then his last time on sat night HBO (Wade drew 1.325 million viewers) and only a tiny bit more then Wilder just did. Difference is Wilder ALSO drew almost DOUBLE the attendance with 14,069 while GGG drew 7,837 with 1/3 of the venue empty. Also Wilder made 2.1M while GGG only got a 1M purse. Yet a lot of GGG fans have been killing Wilder as not known.

There is nothing special about GGG going back to HBO drawing less viewers on HBO after multiple PPV fights showing he is still hasn't increased his star power 1 bit. And loeffler knows it which is why they scrapped PPV and then scrapped fighting in Vegas on reg HBO. They know GGG can't sell PPVs see his flops with Lemieux and Jacobs (300K PPVs combined in those fight) and can't sell tickets in MGM. GGG fans are too cheap to buy PPVs or buy higher end tickets. If you give them free tickets, let them use food stamps and let them watch without paying PPV they will. Otherwise they don't show up to support GGG lol GGG needs Canelo otherwise he back to selling 97K-150K PPVs and back to stubhub LMAO

most people(casuals) knew GGG and Canelo were fighting May 5th. Most people know Canelo tested positive.

No word from GGG's camp he was fighting until the very last min

I'm actually impressed that you dug up those numbers. I was aware of the Canelo number, but I must say that Hopkins v. Tarver pull was impressive. Much respect lol

I was in high school when that fight happened and it was a big deal. Takes a lot to crack 2 million unless you're Floyd, Manny, or Canelo. Not even sure the Pac Man could pull it off anymore.

How long did they have to promote the fight and how long did they have to sell tickets?

Because they are more interested in GGG doing something to facilitate them bragging on him than they are with him securing generational wealth for his family.
