Who exactly are you referring to? I haven’t read that anywhere on these boards and if someone did say that, they’d be in an extreme minority.

I'd like to see it. Two good fighters, a grudge fight. A big step up for Charlo too.

I liked Danny, but he's really not the great boxer people try to make him out to be. And, his chin will fail him against Jermall.
I think it's a nice fight, myself, and certainly represents a big step up for Jermall and a chance to prove that he's really as good as he looks. That said there's legitimate business and strategic reasons why this fight doesn't make sense for either. Doubt it happens. Shame though cos it looks like Jermall ain't really got many good options except waiting on his turn with Golovkin which may never happen.

Given that neither GGG or Canelo look likely to fight him within the next 18 months who would you like to see him in with? I'd say Saunders would make for a great stylistic match-up with Charlo but that's probably even less likely to happen than Jacobs. Derevyanchenko? Ditto. He's unlikely to risk his mando spot... who else is there?

Absolutely on point. Charlo needs Jacobs to boost his credibility.

I'd be down with this fight. In fact, the way Jacobs has been deliberately antagonising Charlo at events makes it seem like if nothing else, he wants it. Sure, Charlo is probably reluctant to give up his WBC mandatory slot, but I reckon he could make as much or perhaps even more money by fighting Jacobs vs. fighting Golovkin - and it appears that if he wants Golovkin he might end up having to wait in line anyway. I expect the fight to get made and to happen before 2018's up.

I don't think fans are content with two mando guys avoiding each other so much as they understand the business & why that would be silly. Both are gonna get a title shot. Likely not sooner if they were to beat the other guy or not. There isn't much of an upside here & if you respect the other enough you'll know that you are taking on some decent to big risk yourself by making this move.

So TLDR, f#ck ya who DON'T wanna see Jacobs vs Charlo but with the mando situation is it worth it? Probably not.

Well, If you want to wait out Derecyachenko-Saunders-Canelo-Murata and Jacobs and Charlo is going to be at the bottom of the barrel that's the option, a close to 2-3 years before Charlo or JAcobs could actually fight GGG.

Why is it that "fans" are content on mandos not fighting each other?

Because ggg has to fight or vacate.

if ggg dont wanna fight, then he can give up that wbc strap and jacobs and charlo can fight each other for it.

golovkin been feasting on bums, now it's prime fighters all around him who want what he has which is the belts.

                  fight or vacate. no excuses

                  ggg wants murata doe

Actually wasn't discussing Golovkin but since you brought it up. Charlo needs credibility in general. If he wants to get in there with the Champ of the division he needs to prove he can hang with him. Jacobs would provide that assurance.
