AJ has "numbers" already, after he beats Wilder he can continue "planning another eight years at the top." The "numbers" will take care of themselves, the cash will continue to flow - because he's worshipped out there!

AJ is GUARANTEED his 50"numbers" so please stop the EXCUSES! This DUCKING was ALWAYS the case from Barry when on youtube (concerning AJ after his 8th fight) he said, "you may want to DUCK Deontay Wilder for a little while - he's strong".....How long is "a little while???"

Daddy & Son have been on the same page ever since, theyre just coming from different angles with the NEW version of excuses.......AJs ALREADY EXTREMELY RICH, its just that his managment team is SCARED to death he'll lose the fight (AND their GREEDY EXTRA money). That mssg is bolstered loud & CLEAR each & every time they speak.......Oh yes, they'll have a "legacy" alright, it just won't be the one they were hoping for.....The ROBOT, with his 4 belts, is officially AVOIDING the most challenging fight of his career! .....LEGACY plan?!?!
I think by Legacy he's not thinking about it the same as you, you're thinking reputation, I believe this is important to AJ but not to the Hearn's. Barry is talking here about financial legacy only, you have to remember promoters only care about numbers, they don't care about ego's. A promoter doesn't dream about repping the GOAT, they care about breaking box office records.

I agree the management team are scared, but not like you say, not because of Wilder being a bigger threat than Povetkin (cos it's actually about the same tbh), they're scared about the dollars left on the table, a fight that made $50m that could have $250m, they are like market traders, they obsess over deals, they do deals, not fights.

They just dont get it .

Which is why they severely lack reading comprehension .

The fact is Wilder is not confident turning 12.5 Million into 30 PLUS Million with a win over Joshua . So hes willing to stall the fight until he knows he can make more then that original offer in case he loses ....its really blatantly obvious .

You dont turn down that kind of money unless your not 100%sure you could win .

Wilder would rather make under 2 Million a fight , clearly hes not ducking doe ?

If Wilder had accepted the offer the fight would have already been signed and scheduled ,its Joshuas and Hearns fault though!

Nah Mayweather offered Pacquiao a fight in March 2011 at 50/50 split

They're doing a Bob Arum talking about building a stadium and MGM is not big enough etc...

Well...at least you're seeing an honest side to how big fights are done...and not done.

Props to Hearn for being transparent.

Soon as his son started talking about inspecting the coffers, it was clear they were full of ****.

I still hold out hope it happens this year, but I maintained all along it won’t.

Joshua will fight Povetkin or Miller and Wilder will face Breazeale. All of those opponents have been on standby for months.

Speaking of transparency, interesting angle by some on here. Avoiding the article entirely to instead talk about Wilder’s chin, age, poster’s country loyalty, anything but what Hearn said. Just goes to show that deep inside they know the truth.

LOL at the AJ fan boys here. They rather watch AJ fill his pockets than fight the bout that everybody wants to see. The contradictions that he is a bum yet they are paying AJ 50 million to fight him.

Flat out they just said it, make more money before risking it. Otherwise duck him as long as you can

Yeah I know what you're saying, I'm not overly surprised that Wilder fans aren't too smart on the business front tbh. They post pretty much how he boxes...all over the place, deviating from the thread and with their chins hanging in the air!

Cowardice has nothing to do with it, he never got control of the game and now he bows to AJ, only has himself to blame.
Deontay first pro fight was 2008 and Joshua’s was 2013 thats only 5 year difference. However aj had a longer amture career. Just make the fight now.
