We, as die hard fans, don't need that but the general public would be more likely to pay for a PPV if both sides were exposed to the other's following. The problem with that plan is that we would have to wait and that an upset could occur....
This logic ignores the other scenario. If AJ came here and knocked out Wilder in Vegas, his earning potential would jump substantially. He'd be a $40 million per fight guy easily after that.

So the risk/reward here is more nuanced than Hearn articulated in those statements.

A lot of us like them both equally. We just despise the fanboy **** from across the pond and the creative bull**** Eddie comes up with at times. At least the old man had the salt to tell the truth.

I still think AJ will push for the fight. He seems to want that opportunity. And if he wins, his earning potential explodes. He knows that.
If you go on fighthype I’m am the proud CEO of Joshualite international. The brand is very important to me...... No I just poke fun of the situation. Joshua is my boy because living in London if your somebody everyone knows everyone that’s why I’ve never met him.lol

Wilder is of Nigerian descent , Joshua is of Nigerian Descent and so am I ,so although I want Joshua to win for the simple fact that he salutes me when he sees me ( yeah I know doesn’t mean we are friends but it looks good anytime I am with a female) Deontay is a fellow native so if he has to lose I want him to get paid at least

You're right...thats what happened with Mayweather and the Pacman. I don't want to get into who's fault it was, because that argument is about 3 years old, but you can't be a right-minded person, and not believe, as successful as that fight was, it wouldn't have done even bigger numbers if it had happened before Pacquiao got slept by Marquez.

I think this is the only comment of yours i have ever agreed with. Somebody must've slapped some sense into you, no?

This is the number 1 reason why the fight shouldn't be dragged out. Let's face it, BOTH of them are flawed fighters, and even if they both remain unbeaten, I don't see this fight being any bigger next year than it is right now. They run the risk of either one of them losing, which totally kills the value, or either pissing off the fans, which will undoubtedly lead to a lot of dudes streaming the fight that would've originally paid for it.

It's a 50 million dollar guarantee, even if it only does 1 ppv buy. Barry Hearn needs to sit his old ass down somewhere.

According to this forum, which exists in an alternate bubble, and not in reality, Wilder has a ton of fans. I just ask you, why do you just sit on the forums complaining and not actually support your fighter by buying tickets and watching his fights? Cant believe that Wilder is not selling out T Mobile or MGM. GGG from Kazakhstan can do that. Your American Heavyweight Champion cant. Maybe he is really just a bum and you are all just trolls and not real fans.
GGG couldn't even sell out Stub Hub this weekend. It seats like 8k in LA lol what are you talking about?

Wilder has the second highest live gate in the history of Barclays (NYC) in his last fight with attendance of 14k. He has the highest TV ratings on premium cable in the last two years (both fights).

Where do you guys come from with this stuff? Lol

Its business. Not good for us as you say. I don't have any problem seeing AJ - Povetkin as Povetkin is still just about a threat.

Wilder has already fought his biggest threat in Ortiz. Whyte is probably the next best fighter he could face and if Eddie can rustle up 5 million for Deontay I don't know why he wouldnt take that if AJ is not available (because they are marinating the fight)

Beating Whyte would give Wilder a lot of legitimacy amongst UK casuals. Similarly AJ beating Miller in New York would raise his profile in the US.

Some of you guys saying how can the fight value get multiplied by 4x value in a year? Easy! Its the casuals who make a successful ppv and when they flood in the cash register goes into spasm mode. There's a tipping point. Once it's crossed it's all downhill from there and the money can rain in very quickly.

Beating Miller wouldn't do anything for Joshua's popularity here tbh. Haven't you seen the attendance in Barclays when Miller fights? He'd have to beat Wilder for casuals to tune in.

Unless they did some serious press tour or let the Dana White promote it I don't see a Miller fight doing anything for AJ here lol

Whoa whoa whoa...... slow down there my brother. Don’t get me wrong Jimmy is a clown but nobody is getting splattered not on my watch. Do you know what that would do to the brand? I love Deontay and all but we are leaving his cornrows in an absolute mess when we are finished with him( yes it’s a joint effort) I don’t entertain the negotiation talk. When the fight is signed then we talk
