You do realize that's not how Boxing works right? We've got recent posts all over the forum from managers, trainers, matchmakers, etc who all agree.

Contract is the last thing to fall in place.

Why? The market will dictate what they can and can't earn. If they get it, it's theirs.

Boxers have overheads too - they're run like a business. There's trainers to pay. Promoters. Nutritionists. Physios. They don't get the luxury of iron-clad insurance cover if something goes wrong.

Not to mention, boxing is a sport where you can be done in an instant. For most people, you never reach the top. And if you do, it's short lived. Careers end in a heartbeat - so of course they want to make money today, because there may not be a tomorrow.

Different story if you're a bloke looking at 40 years in an industry that won't turf you aside just like that.

Wilder said he wanted to fight AJ next and he was offered $12.5million to do it.

GGG said he wanted to fight Canelo next and he was offered $10million for a fight a year down the line.

Nope! Canelo did 1 mill with Chavez jr and jr got 7 mil flat! And the Liam probably only made about 1 mil! You’re using the wrong angle!

Thats a fact. Although I hate certain restrictions that having a league would bring having a league would probably make fights between top guys easier to make within the divisions and we would finally know who the MAN is.
