Golovkin needs to be that reckless against ALL opponents.

Golovkin’s defense has always been to step back or eat the punch straight to the face lol

Seek and destroy.
It was definitely an entertaining 5 minutes or however long it was. I'm not sure he can just come forward like that against Canelo until Canelo starts to gas out

I agree. I just don’t think he should be overly cautious how he was at first against Canelo and Jacobs at first. Hopefully if he rematches either one, he’ll just try to get in quicker.

Nah he's trying to catch most shots with his gloves and elbows/arms...especially if he respects his opponent like with Canelo..its not flashy but its there

Yeah, I noticed that a bit more with the Canelo fight. He pretty much threw that out the window after the 4th round though lol

I agree that he has to be less reluctant with the power shots but fight like against Vanes? Canelo isn't Vanes and neither is Jacobs. These are the battle hardened fighters against whom any decent trainer would advise caution against. Try getting in the ring and be reckless, lets see how that ends for you. Easier said than done.

I agree. Guess I mean he just needs to show a little less respect when he steps up in competition.

Yeah, one of my biggest qualms with GGG is he is very slow in the first round almost always. He tries to measure the ability of his opponents which is fine but usually, if you do that, you should be outboxing your opponent, not losing the first round by going inside with the jab alone!

no he was not scared of the counters as he took Canelo's punches with less problems than he took Marty's last night.

It was because this was agreed upon beforehand.

even at that, GGG pumped a jab and won the fight by landing more punches, activity, effective aggression and ring generalship.
                      That’s a bold claim
