Golovkin needs to be that reckless against ALL opponents.

After the fight yesterday, Max Kellerman noted that Golovkin attacks different based on his opposition.

I agree with him all the way. Yes, it leaves him open for counters but his style isn’t at effective when he’s so cautious. What do you guys think?

Also, I don’t think he would have knocked out Canelo or Jacobs had he been that reckless. But he sure as hell would have won a split decision against Canelo and the Jacobs fight wouldn’t have been so close.

Or he would of got knocked the phuk out by a counter he didn't see coming which is why he was scared to throw any body shots or engage like we normally see when canelo was on the ropes. Easy to fight reckless against bums, against elite fighters that shyt gets you lumped up or put to sleep. It's not rocket science.

It depends on the opponent. A guy like Vanes, that he could withstand punches from, doesn't pose the same threat as PED enhanced former SMW like Alvaroid.

Canelo would light him up if he tried that on him. GGG would be on his ass.

I think GGG took Canelo’s punches pretty well. I remember Canelo throwing the kitchen sink at him in the 9th round right on Golovkin’s jaw and nothing. I mean, it was the type of punch that would have put any other middleweight in serious trouble. Just wish Golovkin wouldn’t show so much respect. Like how he fought yesterday was old Golovkin. Seek and destroy.

This is just like when Deontay Wilder does the windmill. He only does it when his opponent isn't dangerous. GGG can't do this against Canelo, Charlo, etc just like Wilder couldn't do the windmill against Ortiz.

Canelo and Golovkin was a fixed fight. I'm a handicapper. i study tendencies and habits.

GGG consciously repressed his tendencies and habits like going to the body up close, on the ropes.

no he was not scared of the counters as he took Canelo's punches with less problems than he took Marty's last night.

It was because this was agreed upon beforehand.

even at that, GGG pumped a jab and won the fight by landing more punches, activity, effective aggression and ring generalship.
