This forum will hit the ***ing deck if GGG vacates the IBF belt to fight Canelo. The amount of trolling would be absurd.

I wonder what the narrative would be though. Will people still start looking into GGG's wallet if he takes a big money fight? Will people pretend Derev is a better boxer than Canelo? Can't win either way with the masses. I swear, people in this forum need better hobbies than measuring the finances of boxers

If they do I at least hope they pay Sergiy well, if he's getting an exemption to go earn around 20 million pay the man properly and i have no problem with it nor will DiBella. Consider it free money, if they don't then I hope they are forced to fight the IBF mandatory, and then pursue Saunders in January to fight Canelo in May again should they succeed. Which seems very likely.

GGG keeps it = “scared of Canelo rematch!” or “back to fighting unknown bums!”

Dude hasn't made more than 60k in a fight yet I believe. They should just offer him 150k and move on to the Canelo and Saunders fights. They'll set up some ridicioulous interim super duper title fight for Derevyanchenko and he will never end up fighting GGG.

What's the point in seeking an exception? If they're fighting Canelo, **** the belts. He could lose it to Canelo in a legit loss/or a robbery, anyways.

Now, if they're fighting Billy Joe Saunders, I'm sure they'll get an exception. I'm hoping that's why they're seeking one, I would love to see GGG vs Billy.

Derevyanchenko is the fighter NO ONE wants to fight, for one reason or the other.

Because nobody has ever heard of him. He literally brings nothing to the table. No money, no recognition, nothing. A win over him sounds meaningless at this point in his career. His best win is over Tureano Johnson, who is an okay fighter but that's it.

Why chase after him when you can chase after Golovkin, Canelo, Jacobs, and Saunders?

Golovkin should have just fought Derevyanchenko yesterday to avoid this, instead of wasting everyone's time with Vanes.

So f#cking this. I doubt the IBF woulda had a problem if GGG wanted more time. Cuz lets be real Cinco de Mayo lost its appeal the day they officially suspended Canelo. GGG vs Derevyanchenko in June probably woulda been fine to & no bs fight last night at all.

Let's hope the IBF allows a unification to take precedence. But they are usually sticklers about their rules.

Yea the IBF don't usually play. I honestly was expecting GGG to be stripped for the Vanes fight over the Derevyanchenko fight yesterday. And I think I'd been fine with that cuz if Canelo isn't there then Derevyanchenko is the #1 guy in my mind as far as GGG's "list" goes.

I'm a cat who's usually riding with GGG, but not fighting Derevyanchenko last night or postponing a early May fight til sometime in late May or June was a bad move by Team GGG in my mind.
