First, Mayweather was an incredible fighter but his resume was not better than Ward's. Ward fought guys like Froch at their best, not after they had aged. And if Kovalev becomes a great fighter, that potentially puts an ATG on Ward's win list. Also, If Ward fights triple G in the next few years, remote as that possibility is, hie resume ****s on Mayweather's.

Second, yes Haye came in the way he came in, not Bellew's fault and the fact is Bellew looked really sharp, had good crack and took shots well. Bellew is a good fighter who uses his footwork and skills well, and he is bigger than Ward, this would be a decent fight.

People act like it is Bellew's fault that Haye was unable...it does not work that way...James Toney had a horrible camp, did not train properly for Jones, does anyone talk about that? I love James Toney but would never use that as an excuse.

Bellew is a solid fighter with good fundamentals. No he does not have world class speed, power, or intangibles but he has fought very well exploiting the weaknesses of an ambush fighter who is one step short these days.
