I agree with Kellerman and was thinking exactly the same. Then, I asked myself, "Does GGG know any other way of fighting?" The answer was "No." It had more to do with Canelo and Jacobs' styles. GGG was the same GGG.

Anyway, if he fights the way he did last night, I don't see many middleweights making it through 12 rounds.

Max was criticizing GGG vs. Jacobs and Canelo, because GGG was more cautious, but I think it was the right thing to do! GGG gets hit easy, and he's not going to be able to walk through everyone like he did Kell Brook! He should "put money in the bank" early, so he can win the exchanges later in the fight. He kind of eased up on the body punching with Canelo and Jacobs, and I think that was his only mistake!

Well said...and if GGG fought that way against Jacobs or Canelo (with the way they fought against GGG), I think the fight would go very similar to Hagler/Leonard, which I cannot see Hagler winning 7 rounds in that fight, just didn't happen.

If you just try to walk your way in, instead of box, against guys who are boxing/moving/and can punch, you are going to get lit up a lot and lose rounds, and probably the fight. Especially if those guys can take a punch once you finally get to them.

Exactly! Good fighters will make you miss, and missing big head shots make you tired! He should go to the body early and often, and break his opponent down systematically! You're not going to KO everybody!

I don't think anyone is discrediting his interpretation of Golovkin's power, it's just a little over the top. He told Kellerman that's the hardest he's ever been hit which is fair. But to go a step further and compare it to a locomotive seem like Vanes was adding to the Golovkin PR narrative. He hits hard. We get it. That doesn't mean he's going to do the same thing to Charlo. I guarantee if he doesn't, his fans will go right back to saying he's getting old again.
