Lol.. I kept saying GGG has not slipped one bit. This is the same killer that obliterated 20 victims in a row. But when the opponents come from a higher tier you're not gonna look invincible anymore.
    Absolutely, man.

Competition makes all the difference in the world. Dj and Canelo showed while they are highly regarded. And GGG showed that he's human. The old killer was back tonight. Clearly he hasn't slipped at all.

Golovkin has slipped, but his best attributes don't fade terribly with age, his chin still looks good and his power is still very much there. His speed however has gone from average to legitimately slow, just compare his latest fights to how he looked against against Stevens. I am not talking about the performances in each respective fight either but his speed. Obviously the step up in competition is making him look worse, that can't be argued, but he is getting older and no fighter is at his prime at 36.

There could be a slip in speed, but when was speed his thing? I mean, his power and ability to cut off the ring and his jab are what he's all about. He's still in great shape. Everyone slips a little with age but I don't see that GGG has slipped much.

And yes, I noticed that rage in the eyes. The good boy **** went right out the window then.
          No chit !
It wasn’t part of the script
The agreement clearly stated ,I (GGG) will carry you but you shall not pull any fast ones ( punches with significance etc etc )
So chit happens and then , ( why he couldn’t do this what five weeks ago wtv ) calls everybody out
          GTFOOH
Like someone mentioned , good thing it was an early finish

Speed was never his thing, true, but now he is straight up slow. His jab is still elite which keeps his pressure game somewhat strong, but the decline is still there. A lot of the guys that people are favoring to beat him are also pretty fast(namely Charlo, and Saunders) which makes his decline in speed more noticeable. That being said, he is still a very good fighter.

I went back and watched the Canelo fight today. I mean, it was close but again, I thought GGG clearly won. Canelo looked like he was really slowing down at the end and well, if one guy was weaker at the end, it was Canelo. I also thought GGG put in the steadier, more consistent work. I could see him beating Canelo in the rematch and I can see him beating BJS and Jacobs again. Charlo will be the most dangerous of all of them for him imo. And like we've been talking about, speed will be the problem. However, I won't underestimate him. GGG's still very skilled and has that great jab and knows how to fight different opponents and obviously, still has the power.

Golovkin didn't look very good in the first round. I believe he's past his prime, but he's still the best, or one of the best middleweights.

Yup not even in his prime yet. 36 is very young for a boxer. Your reflexes don't even go away until you're 45.

When GG takes his first L it will be said that it was because of his age. I predict he'll take his first L within his next 2 fights unless he fights more WW/JMW's.
