He was asked about other names at middleweight and he answered “everyone” and “cong**** all on Cinco de Mayo!”
I was a GGG critic but, after tonight, I don't see any of the guys in the division beating him. I'm not sold on Charlo, Andrade, or Derevyanchenko. The only one who will give GGG a headache is Canelo, because of his slick defensive style, or Saunders. I won't even pick Canelo or Saunders against him, either.
The only guy I could see beating Golovkin is Andre Ward. Dre is highly skilled, big, and slick.
Cong**** GGG. I'm done criticizing you!
[And, yes, I know it was a no hoper Vanes he crushed tonight.]Last edited by BoxingIsGreat; 05-05-2018, 11:54 PM.

If someone watches his fights (Ouma, Stevens, Monroe, Lemieux) he has always gotten hit some, but everyone does, it's boxing.
I guess my main point was that the gameplan of Canelo and Jacobs was what they did best...similar gameplan to Murray, except they hit harder and box a little better so they were able to go 12 rounds instead of 11.
I'd love to see someone actually try and trade with GGG, and hold the center of the ring, and try to beat him that way. I think the Canelo/Jacobs gameplan is good enough to go 12 rounds for them, but I feel like that's not the real way to beat the champ and take his belts.

I agree both were equally damaging to Kovalev and Vanes health, respectively, with the extra head shot landing on Vanes immediately and with the low blows setting up the big head shot on Kovalev later, but boxing fans, and boxers, know boxing is a dangerous sport. The outcry was about the outcome of the fight being changed, not the health affects because it's impossible to know how much what GGG and Ward did affected the long term health of Kovalev and Vanes, respectively. It's impossible to know so how would fans spend hours talking about it? But what was obvious was how Ward cheated and was protected by seemingly corrupt officials in BOTH fights, and that's a much bigger issue in boxing than one accidental final grazing blow on the ear after someone is already knocked out.
And for the record, Wilder hit Ortiz so many times on the back of the head and I bet you said jack ****. Those shots were much more numerous and damaging than the one shot that GGG landed here, AND they changed the outcome of the fight just like Kovalev-Ward, so again you act like there are double standards favoring GGG when in reality every double standard favors boxers YOU like and defend, so you have no leg to stand on here. Stop blaming GGG for the fact you support cheaters who are seemingly protected by in my opinion corruption. If you paid attention you would have noticed that GGG was blocked out from getting his chance in his PRIME by corruption or at least ducking fighters, and then when he finally got it years too late, he got robbed by corruption.
GGG is the victim of (in my opinion) corruption. Ward is the beneficiary of what seems to be corruption in my opinion. Yet, you support Ward. Unbelievable. The only explanation can be that you have some sort of external bias here beyond boxing that causes you to view things like this completely upside down from reality, or from how an objective, fair minded person who dislikes injustice would view it.
What set up that headshot from Ward was Kovalev's lazy jab and him switching stance right in front of Ward.
A blow to the nuts might affect Kovalev's ability to reproduce. A blow to the Vanes' head while he was down after he is already hurt could end his life.
So it's ok to hurt boxer if he's already down as long as it doesn't change the outcome of the fight? That's some boxing logic right there!
