Well that's what he should have done to an opponent of that caliber under those circumstances

Yea I thought those last 2 were late, golovkins got a habit of doin that when he gets a knockdownSome people are still crying about Ward's low blows but can't see Golovkin hitting Vanes while he was clearly down. Max didn't even ask him about it. That's the second time. I guess the health and welfare of Vanes doesn't matter.
He was only there to be sacrificed so I guess it doesn't really matter.Comment

That's my point. GGG is not old or past prime. His competition just got better. He got old and washed up overnight after the Jacobs fight. And some idiots even said he was "slipping" after the fight vs Brook. I kept telling ppl GGG is the same exact beast that was tearing through everyone but now this beast is facing opponents on a higher tier.Idk man...I think to keep GGG off of you, you have to 1) box well 2) move well and 3) have power to keep him at bay as well. If you don't have those 3 things to slow him down he is eventually going to get to you.
Jacobs and Canelo have all 3 of those things, not many do. They also had the right gameplan (to go 12 rounds at least)Comment

Remember the last 8 years or so when on Cinco de mayo we used to sit through 12 rounds of a boring mismatch. At least this year it's over quickly.Comment

I think it was more of not seeing that shot coming/not expecting it/not thinking Vanes could hurt him. That was always the (only) danger of GGG taking the fight on short notice, not much time to gameplan. That was an awkward combo Vanes threw.Impressive finish but he seemed to get hit a whole lot. He better hope that his chin doesn't betray him eventually. I don't think he was buzzed like some are saying but that combo got his attention and a big puncher may have caused more damage. I just get the sense that his time is coming to an end.Comment
