You have got to be kidding. All of the guys you mentioned would knock seven bells out of him. Bellew is not a HW, don't let his victory over a shot Haye, who was himself a small HW who in his prime survived in a weak division on speed and that fearsome power shot, which alas seems to have been surgery'd out of him.Bellew fought nicely. Great speed and decent pop with footwork, a lost art is sometimes seems these days. People forget that a lot of the new generation of fighters lack fundamentals. Haye was always a one dimensional guy. He needed optimum speed to get across the ring from a distance and launch an attack, much like martinez and to some degree like Wilder.
Bellew is a good enough boxer that he could shut that strategy down, combined with Haye's leg problems. Bellew is a scrapper and was sharp.
I don't see why he can't be a force in the heavyweight division to a degree. I would give him equal odds against Parker, or Ruiz. He might be skilled enough to take advantage of Wilder's limited repretoire as well. Bellew has shown an instinct for the craft..good timing and crisp attacks. Lets not forget that if one can avoid Wilder's right hand it makes the odds very significantly change... Bellow also seems to have decent whiskers and decent power.
Don't know about Joshua because Joshua has enough fundamentals and size that make the fight tougher for Bellow...ditto for Whyte but Bellow could fight most of the heavyweights it seems to me.
What Bellow did was to take Haye out of the fight... Haye had bad habits with his hand placement and after delivering punches...If his injury had a lot to do with that, or not, I cannot say.
Someone on the circuit told me that Haye hasn't been able to complete a pro level training session for 4 years (or more) without requiring ice, physio, bandages and meds. Basically every session his body has told him to give it up. Coldwell knew this and trained Bellew for this HW contest, not to be a HW career boxer.
Bellew at HW, is gonna get hurt.Comment

[QUOTE=Scipio2009;18741244]Simply put, money fights:
-Usyk vs Gassiev winner (where he'd get hurt)
- Andre Ward (where he'd be mesmerised before getting hurt)
-Tyson Fury (where he'd get hurt at the press conference, ambulances on stand by from the first bell)
-Charr vs Oquendo winner at Goodison (who on earth would pay for this?)
- -Joseph Parker at Goodison (haven't you heard him, he's got a wife and kids, this is a cruel suggestion, 'resuss..clear...I think we've lost him'Comment

Now don't get your feelings hurt there, squire. Besides, Bellew would likely smash down Wilder or Parker. Or Whyte. Or Chisora. Don't think he beats Fury or Povetkin or Joshua though. He!!uva performance from Tony though. Gotta hand it to the guy. He comes to do battle, plain and simple.

You could see Hayes ankle wasn't right from the start, he was very stiff legged , he was nowhere near smart enough to beat Bellew thoughComment

He wouldn't beat any of those guys at HW. I don't mind Bellew, he talks straight and does the business, but at HW, with real active guys, he'd get hurt, and I think he even knows that. I have a hunch, he might be talked into fighting Fury because the pay would be huge, but Fury is a very very big guy in comparison, I'd worry about his health.Quote:
