Well it wouldn't be a smart business move for Gennady to fail to make the September fight. I know he's gonna have to give up that IBF title to Derevyanchencko now but the money for the Canelo is too good to pass up for the Canelo rematch. Gennady is the older fighter here and needs these big fights now. He's stylistically one of the most entertaining fighters but just isn't a draw yet because he didn't come over to the USA in his younger years like a Manny Pacquiao did. He's gotta make up for lost time by taking those big money fights when they're presented to him. They decided not to roll the dice and fight Derevyanchencko on short notice so they should probably just give up that IBF belt and focus on the big pay day. The point of boxing is to maximize your revenue and there is no better way to do that then to beat the cash cow in a grudge match. Golovkin probably won't be undisputed anyways because that would require cooperation from Saunders. They probably should have just fought Derevyanchencko for short money if they wanted to keep the titles but they went with low budget vanes instead. Maybe they can give Derevyanchencko some step aside money with that Canelo fight bread. Charlo's a mandatory, those Billy Joe and Derevyanchencko fights will still be out there. Bank now and then you have plenty of lucrative options afterwards as well.

I don't think he will get close to 50%
Canelo's current situation has nothing to do with how much Golovkin will/should get paid..... that will come down to numbers, and Golovkin is about to BOMB with Vanes
I can't see how/why the deal for the rematch will change
as soon as they start crying at Canelo, he will just fight someone else, I'm sureComment

I think Canelo's image is in damage control, not to mention GGG's financial loss from this weekend (which is partially self-inflicted) which should give him added leverage.I don't think he will get close to 50%
