I know what you are saying. I could never bring myself to like guys like Hopkins and Wladimir. They were boring and pretty dirty. Wlad's last fight was excellent though. He showed a heart I've never seen him display before.

I like Loma and Usyk a lot because I mostly prefer boxers with skills to face first brawlers like GGG.

One guy that I thought I would never like was Sweet Pea Whittaker. After watching more of his fights I started to realize that he was a very tough cookie. By the time he fought Oscar I was behind him 100%.

Yeah. I'd say it has more to do with style and personal preference than race. I see people who bring race negatively into boxing discussions as weaklings and emotional.

There are lots of reasons why people like certain fighters. I personally think Lomo is good but I don't get excited over him. I don't like him clowning his opponents. Golovkin I enjoy because I generally like fighters that come forward and have power. For example I liked Julian Jackson because you knew at some point he would connect and it was lights out for his opponent. I appreciate boxers also but for some reason I just can't get behind Lomo.

Because whether people like his clowning or not, the kid is the goods... that's just all there is to it. Golem fights ******... coming forward all the time just means you don't really know how to box and use the ring well.

Look at Youtube comments its littered with racism in Boxing channels, I don't think its any coincidence that the people who are laying their racism on YT won't be on here the only difference is they have to mellow down on their full swing racist ways just because they don't like the skin colour of a fighter.

Criticism is fine, for GGG or anyone else, & I suspect a lot of people get accused of being a hater off of legit criticism too is the kinda funny thing cuz lotsa cats are dying to be offended about nothing things at times.

But idk about Vanes being a level or two below GGG. GGG is a top 3ish P4P guy right now in virtually everyones opinion. Vanes is an inactive guy who's best win is a 37 year old Ishe Smith who had split his last 4 fights previous to his battle with Vanes. He's not fought in 2 years. He's not won a fight in 3 years. I think Vanes is well under where GGG is at.

The inactivity makes things worst but I don't see him as a horrible fighter. You know the kinda fighter that just shows up for a paycheck or one that you just know is not going to win. Even the fights he lost he's competitive and he doesn't give up. He just faced better competition.

I don't expect him to win but I don't expect him to fold the first time he gets hit. It would surprise me if he did.

Yes, he's been hyped beyond belief, whereas imo a fighter such as lomachenco is one to get excited over. Golovkin has been a bum beater his whole career, and, unlike many other fighters, his entire career has centered around getting a fight with 1 guy.

I dont think that is entirely correct but i get people getting pissed off cause GGG still fighting bums.
Needs to stop going after the cash cow and just build his legacy.

What if he was criticizing what other boxers were doing and then turns around and does the exact same thing? Shouldn't he be criticized for the obvious hypocrisy?

What if for most of his career he justified fighting cans saying they were mandatories and then avoids the first live mandatory using multitude of excuses? Should fans ignore that too?
