  • Comments Thread For: Dubois vs. Little, Leather vs. Davies Added To Saunders-Murray

Two exciting domestic match-ups have been confirmed for the undercard of Billy Joe Saunders' WBO Middleweight World Title defence against Martin Murray at The O2 on June 23. Heavyweight sensation Daniel Dubois (7-0, 7 KO's) takes on Hatfield's Tom Little (10-5, 3 KO's) for the Vacant English Heavyweight Championship and undefeated Guisborough Super-Lightweight talent Josh Leather (13-0, 6 KO's) squares off with highly-ranked Hackney man Ohara Davies (16-1, 13 KO's).

Oooooohh, hell yes. Dubois vs Little for the English title! First guy that's fought Dubois that will actually come to win. That should be a cracker for as long as it lasts!

I feel like Leather should be giving Foot a rematch.

          Cards stacked with mismatches.

Dubois blasts Little early, Leather gets leathered by mid-point, BJS wide decision. Yarde stops whatever Bulgarian Road sweeper they manage to find.

Certainly won't catch me watching it over Josh Taylor vs Postol.

That's probably more a testament to how good Taylor is.
I think Taylor is the first to stop him but Postol should at least pose problems. If he can turn the clock back that could potentially be a difficult fight for Taylor imo
I don't see Leather or Murray even posing problems. Leather gets blown out, Murray will just impersonate a heavybag and get jabbed senseless for 12 boring, one sided rounds.
Little fight is awful too, no surprise if he goes in 1 round.

Hopefully I'm wrong because I don't see one fight that's not predictable or will be even remotely competitive.

Agreed. Its a Great fight and very intriguing to see whether Davies still has a shot at becoming a World Level fighter or just a Domestic or European one.

Daniel Dubois was supposed to be fighting Dave Allen but Allen chickened out and credit to Little for taking up the challenge.

Dubois is only 20 Years old and has plenty of time on his hands.

British Title by end of 2018, European and World Top 10 Guys in 2019 and a World Title in 2020 by which time he'll still only be 22 Years old.

                  Just to be clear.

Dave Allen was offered £50,000 to fight Dubois, far more then he made against Luis Ortiz and Allen agreed terms.

He then came back and asked for £100,000!!! Obviously bottled it and priced himself out.

The hardest problem with Dubois is finding opponents willing to get in the ring with him especially the UK Heavyweights.
