Isnt it embarrassing that a 5'10 man is weighing 126lbs?
If hes ever successful its only because hes a weightbully and is clearly too big for the division, guys his height are usually LMWs or MWs. Clearly hes scared to fight guys his actual size.

Velez has been shot for some time now. He tends to start looking like a mobile mannequin after two or three rounds. Garcia should win easily which is what he is expected to do. Not the big step up some people think it is.

Rumor has it if Ryan is victorious vs Velez he'll be having a dance off with Paulie M at the post fight party at the club.

Velez is not old has never been stopped and he has been beaten but only by good fighters and he's coming off a win streak. And more importantly Garcia is ONLY 19. This is a huge step up go look at the level of opponents that much older top prospects are fighting. They ain't stepping in the ring with guys like Velez. For example Shakur Stevenson older, more experienced, was the darling of the 2016 olympics, with power promoter Top Rank, and yet still Stevenson is fighting no named bums in 6 and 8 round fights. Facing guys that are either not ranked by Boxrec or ranked as the 400th best fighter in the division. Velez is ranked 31 best fighter in the division by boxrec.

At 18-19 I weigh 118-120 by age 24 I was still weighing 122-126 pounds, i don't see why youre so surprised, he has the frame of a small although tall thin guy, just like me.

Was it embarrassing when Tommy Hearns was a 6’ 1” welterweight? Or how about Paul Williams being 6’4” at 147?

And with all that said Velez is still a shot fighter. He looked dreadful in stopping an exhausted from inactivity Juan Manuel Lopez recently. This is the the same Lopez who has shown zero punch resistance to go with zero balance and reflexes the last few years and he not only extended Velez to 12, but had him wobbling a few times throughout. Velez was once promising and seems like a nice guy but he fell into stepping stone status a while back. The fact Garcia's people signed up for him this early clearly illustrates that.
