I live in America so when a big fight happens in the UK I just tune in around 4 or 5pm and watch it.
I rarely get up to it any more, but yeah, East coast fights are usually around 3 or 4 of the a.m and West Coast fights tend to have the sun peeping through the curtains by the time they're done.

Back in 2012 when I returned to the sport big time I was suffering badly from insomnia and rarely getting more than a coupla hours sleep a night anyway, so it wasn't a problem but these days it's a different matter. New family, new baby, finally getting decent sleep - if baby Koba allows - and besides I train usually about 2.5 hours Sunday morning so staying up til ****** O'Clock just ain't an option unless it was an unmissable fight.

But yeah. You'll find the UK and European guys who stay up for the US fights are the real die-hards, and whether or not you agree with their opinions it's hard to question their dedication to the sport. I sometimes wonder how many of the US based fans would still be watching if they had to stay up all night to get their fix.

I'm another for watching the UK cards until around 11 or 12 GMT, then off to bed for a few hours, and set the alarm for about 3-30am. I usually go back to bed once it's done for a couple of hours. It's not too bad.

Doesn't bother me, but i'm someone that tends to be awake in the night anyway. I quite enjoy it.

That said, i've drifted off to sleep watching a few times if i was a bit tired and the undercard was boring and missed most of the main event but it never really happens if it's a fight i'm very excited to see or a big event. once or twice i've set an alarm and had a sleep for a couple of hours and wake up to catch some undercard and main event.

          It's not that bad really.

Is there still no news on the GGG fight being on UK TV this weekend? i've been looking but found nothing. Seems nobody is showing it.

Can't see Sky showing it now. BoxNation might pick it up, sometimes they don't bother sending commentary teams and get some feed from USA and just have pundits in the UK studio, so maybe they can pick it up last minute.

Seems unlikely with 2 days to go though.

I enjoy it to be honest because it seems to add to the experience not take anything away. A little nap at about 4 in the afternoon and then boxing all through the night. Whats not to like?

No idea, there's still no real clarity on that.

Wouldn't surprise me if BoxNation stops operating soon and Frank just puts cards on BT. Seems to me that BT probably want their fights to be exclusives on their channel, especially the big ones. If that happens, the BoxNation subscriptions will drop dramatically i think.

Maybe Frank is seeing out the current scheduled fights on BoxNation before it shuts down, hence not picking up the GGG fight.

Their main investor, Bill Ives, passed away this year. It looks likely that BN is at the end of the road.

Never knew that. Makes a lot of sense when you consider Frank has just signed a 5 year deal with BT.
