And come on man - Ward got his a'ss kicked the first six rounds of the first fight, and the last six rounds were competitive and were probably 4-2 either way. Only clear round in the last 6 was round 10 for Kov.
Paul Smith was a 168lb active fighter who was a previous title challenger whom Ward fight after a long layoff. He came in way overweight and Ward still beat him to a pulp. Brand was an ackward 168lb active fighter who gave Badou Jack a very close fight. The first Kovalev fight was very close and yes Kov bossed the first 4-5 rounds but Championship fights are 12 rounds and while the decision could have gone either way, Ward got it. He then whipped Kov’s butt in the rematch despite some noise about potential low blows.

Lil g totally ducked Ward at 168 and than never mentioned his name again. However lil g was prepared to go to 168 to fight Chavez Jr and was prepared to fight a retired Carl Froch at 170+. That’s the kind of cherry picker lil g is. Again lil g ducked his IBF mando, will likely be stripped because of that and is now fighting a 154 lbs fighter who is basically retired and hasn’t fought in 2 years.

Wow...dissing GGG's resume but hyping up Paul Smith, and Alex Brand...I have seen it all lol.

1st fight wasn't close...last six rounds were close...one of the worst robberies I've ever seen. Second fight was similar on the cards but a more competitive fight (Kov ahead I believe 5-2 on punch stats which was probably the right score). Ward did in that fight was he does best - got dirty and got away with it. If those two fights were in a neutral site, Ward loses the first and probably DQd or at least penalized in second.

And anyone who believes anything from Andre Ward about fighting someone should see a doctor. He sued his promoter 3 times, he had long layoffs, pulled out of fights with injuries, dropped belts to avoid mandatories.

What do you think of Ward ducking Anthony Dirrell (of all people) and dropping a belt rather than face him?

Jacobs is a good fighter at the end of the day i just love watching the flip flopping in fans

          exactly

Jacobs was not rated AT ALL, until after the Golovkin fight

suddenly he became elite, overnight lol

my estimation of Golovkin/Jacobs/Lemieux/Saunders did not change one little bit following those 2 fights

to me..... those guys are all ranked/rated exactly the same as they were before those fights happened lol

so..... unlikely that I have it wrong

          Golovkin - was overrated..... A-
he is not this avoided killer, or anything close..... he is A- on his best day, against the right opponent..... and B/B+, against the wrong opponent..... the Ward fight would have been embarrassing, Golovkin would have been under-sized and outclassed

          Jacobs - was underrated..... B/B+
a very good skillful fighter on his way up

Lemieux - was horribly overrated..... C+
don't know how folks couldn't see it, I told everyone that Saunders would spank/embarrass him in a breakout performance..... Q. nobody could figure out why Saunders/Warren had no problem whatsoever travelling for that fight?..... A. because it was a PERFECT showcase opportunity against a made-to-order opponent..... they cherry-picked a limited plodder lol

          Saunders, was underrated..... B+

          • Hilarious they fooled all you casual boxing fans into thinking Ward has a chance of beating GGG. Golovkin: "I said yes and you said no". As simple as that. GGG would merk Andre Ward.

Btw - do you work for Ward? You sound like his publicist. I can do the same for GGG watch.

GGG agreed to face Vanes on short notice. Vanes was the best available guy to face GGG on short notice. Vanes was one of the best fighters at 154 the last few years, and many people think he was unfortunate to not win in the few bouts where the decision did not go his way. For GGG to face him on short notice is just another incredible accomplishment in GGG's historic career.

GGG also faced Dominic Wade in his career. Many other had reportedly ducked Wade in his career, but GGG had no choice - he had to face Wade, or be stripped. Wade was his mandatory. GGG took the fight, and smoked Wade. Wade has yet to fight since that night, over 2 years ago.

That's what you sound like dude.^^

sorry to have to break it to you like this, but.....

..... they lied to you son

which is why the list of fighters that Golovkin avoided is bigger than his list of accomplishments..... which is.....

                    Lemieux
                    Jacobs *
                    Canelo *

Oh please dude, Ward cleaned out 168. Andre Dirrell ducked Ward. If you think Ward ducked that bum Anthony Dirrell you’re nuts. Ward had the guts to sit on the sidelines and get a new better promotional deal with Roc Nation to finish out his career. Mikey Garcia did the same thing to get away from Top Rank. It’s a free country. As I said the first Kov fight was very close and could go either way, but if you think Kov was winning the second fight you need glasses or contacts.

Lil g’s resume sucks. I did feel bad for GGG because all the MWs ducked him until 2015 timeframe. But after he avoided Ward (but again being prepared to fight Chavez at 168) and than this garbage where he will lose his IBF title so he can fight this retired 154 cherry, he doesn’t care about legacy anymore.
