Teddy Atlas is solid.

He was a great fighter, too.

From what i thought of Teddy Atlas he never had any pro-fights - plus i heard he only had one amatuer fight. Apparently he's got a bad back injury.

He trained with Cus and was a good, but he had something wrong with him that forced him to become a trainer. I can't remember what it was, but It was bad enough for Cus to tell him he should get into training. It's a great book and the part that SquareCircle put in there was one of the best. Teddy during his youth and early in his training career was a little crazy. He has a good story about LaLonde in there. I would tell you guys, but I don't want to spoil it.

There's a good story in there about a young Tyson. Teddy took him to the smokers in New York and everybody was afraid of him. Teddy would have to pay the other trainers, managers, or whatever for one of their kids to fight him. There's one moment where Teddy says Tyson is fighting this kid and he hits him so hard that the sweat from this kid's face flys off and smacks the wall and makes a sound like if somebody slapped it with there own hand. He said the whole place was awe struck when they saw that. It's a great book with good stories and is a must read for any boxing fan.

The story would of gone like this...

He was most likely in a bar when the old guy in the corner who smells
of piss with no friends most likely made a funny joke about Shannon's hair..
Teddy got upset shannon told teddy to leave it the guy was old and drunk
leave him and teddy ignored shannon and give the old guy a few slaps...

That sounds exaggerated, I wouldn't trust Teddy's story.

Briggs would probably give a more accurate account.

Back in 2005 I would have thought there might be some truth to this fairytale but over the years we've seen how full of himself and deluded Teddy is. Now I don't believe a damn word of this.
