If I were Ggg I would honestly vacate and take the money fight then work on getting the IBF back (if he wins). Plus the longer it takes to happen the better it is for Canelo Ggg is getting older Canelo is getting better.

I'd keep it and unify with Saunders. It's a massive fight to unify the division. It would also make the fight next year that much bigger

Vacating or getting stripped of any belt would be very embarrassing for a guy who made a career out of critising Canelo! We must apply the Canelo standard on Golovkin!

Canelo brings more money than Saunders, and also more to GGG's legacy as a win.

Canelo is a future HOFer, if GGG beat Saunders they will say he was a brit bum who beat nobody (his best win is Eubank jr).

Keeping the IBF Belt means fighting Derev before BJS.

They might lose the Canelo fight going this way.

Don't get me wrong I think GGG vs BJS/Derev are great fights but boxing business, money and medias will make GGG take the other route.

Chasing paper belts brought GGG nowhere.

I would go ALL PPV towards Canelo rematch then Jacobs/Charlo winner as another possible HBO PPV and move up.

I'd like to see GGG unify with BJS. And if he wins that, then fight his mandos with Derevyanchenko and Charlo.

He is a prize fighter. He fight for a living to make a good future for himself and his family. Getting all the belts was a noble idea but damn near impossible to achieve thanks to the unreasonable alphabet groups. GGG owes it to himself to earn maximum dollars as his age limits the time he has left to fight for a living. The Canelo fight is a huge pay day. If GGG can fight Canelo in September he should do so. If he fights a mandatory instead he might lose that big Canelo payday forever. He should grab that big money fight opportunity while it is there in front of him. If they strip him and name a new champion most fans will still recognize him as the true champion and not the new guy. Any other middleweight would jump at the chance to fight cash cow Canelo and so should GGG.
