im not saying he should move up genuinely, just funny cause i see a few similarities with the spence and ggg situation but i dont see anyone on here demanding he move up and 'chase greatness' like they did every single day with golovkin. lets face it peterson, ocampos and berto/alexander winner are trash level opponents and no better than martisoryan who they are crucifiying ggg for fighting

Irrespective of my personal perception towards a fighter GGG is a solid fighter and it’s not a coindence he won silver at the Olympics . I will not lie to you he is not my favourite fighter because I scoff at fighters that block punches with their face but I can honestly say that head is made of Teflon and nobody is knocking GGG out to the head at least. His record demands respect. As crazy as this may sound his power is definitely potent but overrated. I say that because his last 2 opponents who are the only 2 meaningful fighters on his resume he was not even close to hurting talk less of stopping. It’s not to say Jacobs has a solid chin either.

In any case the reason why some many people was urging GGG to move up was because of his big mouth trainer saying he will beat any fighter between 154-168. There was a fighter by the name of Andre ward more than willing but Ggg shunned that and preferred Carl Froch at 171lbs. It was them that flirted with the idea and once you make your future plans known to rival fans and we are seeing you are having no real competition in your division as a fan that enjoys a competive fight I wanted him to move up.

In regards to Spence I think he is the best at 147 however there are many fans that disagree with me. Keith Thurman is a player and Terrence Crawford is a 50/50 so it’s not a foregone conclusion for Spence . He still has work to do at 147 and everyone respects that. If he moves up you will get whispers that he is ducking Crawford. He is fine right where he is thank you very much. In fact let me clarify I don’t require GGG to move up as there are players in the division that are more than a match for him all I ask is that you bring Mexican style and you seek out these guys. ✌🏿

he was more than willing yet he needed a tune up(after just fighting paul smith) and for ggg to sign to fight him in a 2 fight contract even when he was supposed to fight the cotto-canelo winner next hmm weird way to spin that. that doesn't sound more than willing at all. that sounds like making ****** moves when ggg is available and knowing he's not going to pick ward over the wbc belt winner. is it really an attempt to fight if you know the guy is going to turn it down? i say no.

why not just try to fight him then? why the tune up? he just fought paul smith and he needs another? doesnt add up. just publicity and nothing more. for years he said and did nothing about fighting ggg then he comes out with this laughable offer and never fights at 168 again.

your froch argument holds no water because if froch offered to fight ggg at the same time he was supposed to fight canelo he would have turned him down as well so you aren't comparing like things. you are making a straw man that ggg had an offer to fight ward and instead fought lemiuex instead which is false since that wasnt the offer according to roc nation themselves.

the deal was ward gets another tune up(why???) ggg fights someone then they fight the next year cept the problem is ggg is not going to postpone in advance a chance at fighting the wbc winner of cotto-canelo to fight ward. ward had to know this so this offer was not legit. a legit offer would have been a fight right then but ward was not ready. i think he saw this as an opportunity to slam ggg since he ducked ggg and ggg made him look bad years before and he took it knowing low information fans wouldn't understand what was happening. they would read ggg turns down ward offer oh wow ggg must be ducking instead of asking the important question of what was the offer? a lot of fans just use confirmation bias and stop before doing that.
