      • This fight may not happen even next year considering the many back and forth

        • That green belt deserves a true champ not that skinny loud mouth protected bronze bummer, he has no where to run to now, Eddie would offer him some more money, then we see what excuse Wilder and Shirley Winkle got to say about that...

Wilder HIMSELF has said Duhaupas was the toughest guy hes fought so far .

“That’s easy – I’ve gotta give it to a Frenchman by the name of Johann Duhaupas,” Wilder explained.

“He was the toughest. We went, I think, 11 rounds and he was taking everything. I remember in the fight, I was like ‘damn, this motherf***taking everything, he’s taking all these punches."D. Wilder

Miller just went 12rnds and didnt ever have trouble ( look at Wilders face after he fought Duhaupas ) .

Not only will Joshua continue to build on his legacy ( he actually has one ) with top guys he will do so while Wilder fights guys Joshua has ALREADY defeated .

At the end of the day ,Wilders fans should just shut up bc should the Breazeale fight take place it will be the SAME guy they called a slow fat punching bag with no skill ........

Who Joshua ALREADY defeated in his 17th fight !
Top guys????? The best that Joshua has faced was a greatly diminished Klitschko, and that was life and death for him. He has looked like feces in his last two fights. Great shades of Primo Carnera!

This is not a house purchase. It's not a purchase of any kind, unless you want to argue that the promoter purchases Joshua's signature to make the fight.

In reality it's more akin to a loan. AJ is loaning his star power, his capacity to attract revenue, to Wilder's team who will then use that status, combined with their own asset, to make the fight.

The problem then is that when you loan something to someone you don't just agree a price. You agree conditions as to how that asset will be used. You agree safeguards, insurance etc. You do that due diligence to ensure that the person entrusted with your asset takes care with it.

Here's another analogy for you. You bought a lovely house by a beach for $2m. You're very happy there. I knock on the door and tell you I want to rent it for the summer. I'll pay you $100k.
That's a good price and could come in very handy for you, but then I say:

You don't get to know what I'm going to do with it. You don't get to stop me using it to film a **** movie and in the process alienate your neighbours. I may want to use it to store heroin, or to traffic sex workers. Or maybe I just want a house to party in over the summer. Maybe causing more than $10k damage?

Whatever, it's none of your business what I do. You don't get to ask and I won't talk to you till you agree the price. For you to want to discuss it or know more is completely unreasonable.

              Sound reasonable to you?
Actually, I think your analogy sucks. Loaning his star power?? You missed the entire point of my post. You expect Wilder's side to have the entire contract drawn up with every detail or there is no negotiation. That makes zero sense and never, EVER happens.

Darn right. Plus the sanctioning bodies are going to go out of their way to protect that meal ticket. Joshua won that fight, but not nearly by the margins on the judges fight cards. I get the feeling that they had a meeting the week before and said any reason you can find to give the round to Joshua, do so. I don't think any fighter has an ice cubes chance in hell to get a fair shake in a Joshua fight.

Sorry, but Edwina's the scared one here. Mighty big meal ticket to lose.
