Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder: It's Complicated

By Tris Dixon - THERE are plenty of things to get upset about in the life of a boxing fan. We boast a sport of splintered leaders, struggle for mainstream respect, we are home to drug users and abusers who are too often allowed off the hook for the errors of their ways and that is even before we venture into the realms of poor decisions and judging anomalies. Yet there is little that lights a fire under us like painful...

Nothing complicated about it, I'm not a Wilder fan but it's clear as day that he's the only one who wants to fight, Joshua being the usual coward is not saying much because his promoter is the only one doing the ducking and talking...wilder needs to move on and leave that cherry picking hype job alone.

Your simplistic view on things is mindboggling. If Wilder wanted the fight, they would have sat down for a meeting with Hearn.

Sure it's gonna be complicated but both parties, especially Hearn, are making it way more complicated than it needs to be.

Not really. Just a bunch of bull**** fake news stories about fake negotiations designed to get fans riled up and create interest in the fight. Same playbook as May-Pac except supposedly those promoters really didn't get along so it all happened naturally. Or, maybe that was fake behind the scenes and both Arum and Haymon/Floyd wanted to drag it out because both sides were making so much money in the meantime, so both sides agreed to exchange ridiculous excuses for why the fight couldn't happen.

Who knows about that. But this one, with Haymon and Hearn who have worked together many times, is clearly fake. For years, Wilder has not wanted to fight anyone, then suddenly one day it was like boxing fans woke up, and suddenly every boxing news site was pushing out Joshua-Wilder news stories five times per day, as if they were all on the payroll of the promoters and they were following a plan that was written up. It happened in a very unnatural, obvious way. Joshua isn't well known in the U.S., and Wilder isn't well known, so they've created all this 100% fake drama as a way to hype up the fight. It's too obvious. But like I said, the weirdest part to me is how so many boxing news sites are playing along 100% as if they are part of the promotion, not news sites, and it all started as if it was in coordination, all around the same time. Can anyone explain it? It was like boxingscene and Boxing Ego, for example, were on the exact same page, despite the fact they are supposed to be completely independent en******. I don't get it!

Look at a bingo that claimed not to be a wilder fan.
            Stop deceiving yourself.

The only thing thats complicated is that Mismatchroom and A.J find themselves as the B side, know your role ; Deontay is paying you twice what you earned.

Joshua is lucky that Deontay 'Bronze-Bomber' Wilder is not asking him to sign with AL Haymon and fight Luis Ortiz for dat 50 million.

Hearn can keep talking his Tom Foolery all he wants, he just tried to discredit a long standing DON in the game in Finkel. We'll now wait to hear Finkels side. NOTHING Hearns says is so clear cut and true to the point - he's PROVEN not to be on the up & up many a time! He's a "promoter" after all......

That 50mil he didnt anticipate coming at him so fast, wouldve paid for 3 to 4 upcoming fights of The Robots. Hearn would like to build that 50 with a few more "RISK FREE" fights - before he hands him over to Wilder.

Barry ACTUALLY advised his son to "DUCK" Wilder, and Eddie himself is used to "RISK FREE" fights, so whats a few "RISK FREE" more!?? The writer of this piece MUST be a Joshua "RISK FREE" Brit Fan Girl - she seems to be hanging from Hearns LAST words & statements in all of this! Even she's emotionally absorbed - dying to hear Hearns culminating EXCUSES!......thank goodness though, discerning minds DO and can exist ANYWHERE on the PLANET even in my uncles homeland of the UK!

“People have a misconception that I call the shots – AJ is the boss and we all work together to guide his career the best way possible, something we have done faultlessly to this point. AJ wants the Wilder fight next and we have spoken a dozen times since the offer and both agreed we would look at the contract and I would meet with Wilder’s team to discuss the offer in more detail – both this requests were denied.” E. Hearn

Nothing more to say after the above quote , team Wilder simply are sabotaging the fight the fans want next , soon or at least NEGOTIATED ....pick one !
