    HBO's commentating is terrible

HBO is desperate for a star, absolutely desperate, they don't even hide it anymore. Sulecki-Jacobs was a very close bout and they made it seem like DJ cruised to a wide clear UD.

Before that though they were going on and on and on about Jarrell Miller hyping him up as the next big thing, did anyone watch that fight? The way they were talking about him you'd think Miller was an ATG.

And don't even get me started on Compubox, it seems at this point it's just a tool to push an agenda. See the ggg-Canelo fight where they counted missed punches as power shots for ggg.

It's crazy how much they can influence a decision or the fans minds, do yourself a favor and mute the TV. Seriously. HBO boxing is on it's last legs, they know it and cannot afford ANYONE looking bad at this point.

I miss the real hbo boxing. What they are giving the fans now is unacceptable and a mockery of the sport.

Two of the actual scorecards were pretty clear decisions, though.

So they made it seem like he cruised to a clear UD when he actually cruised to a clear UD.

          Crazy, huh?

But let's whine about HBO because you have a weird bias against them.

I was watching a fight from the 1990 where Jim Lampley was calling it correctly blow by blow.

Now all they do is inject their personal opinion and insist on their nonsense. Sometimes they don't even talk about the fight the is happening in front of them.

Showtime announcers are doing such a better job these days.

The HBO broadcast was not acknowledging Sulecki's clean work while just acknowledging DJ's for the most part, Lederman's scorecards were also a joke. The fight was not a clear UD, it should've been a SD or a MD, 2 judges had it 116-111, another 117-111. 115-112 was the only reasonable score.

Miller looked underwhelming vs Duhapas but the commentating team was raving about him like he's a future star. They just signed DJ to a multi fight contract, you think they're going to admit how bad he looked or give his opponent a fair shake? Losing DJ would lose them millions. They're trying to make Brooklyn the staple of boxing, DJ is apart of that therefore ggg is apart of that, they've built these 2 guys up.

yes because the actual judges are so great in boxing...never anything controversial with them

I find Lampley and Roy funny, when I'm watching with people, we always burst out laughing at least once through the broadcast. When you're drunk af tho, commentary is background noise.

HBO is garbage right now. Your right Lampley used to be good but like you said it's gone to hell.
