I was a fan of both GGG and Canelo when they fought. Wasn't too bad though, considering they fought a close one. In that case, it's like hats off to both. If say though, you were a fan of Duran and Hearns before they fought, damn. That had to be crushing.
You know it. Mikey will bring plenty of trouble for both.

Particularly his competition that is avoiding him destroyed his momentum.Because he passed the eye test, his warpath was respectable and there was legends floating around. And the hype was warranted apparently.
Hence why there are virtually no threads about him.
See point 1. And let's not forget the matter in which he disposed of said opponents.
So you're just annoyed that the guy has a few fans among his own countrymen because of what? He did beat arguably the best welterweight in his division, he's barely mentioned by name by his opponents and he sends established champions into hiding.
I think the noise is proportional to his accomplishments, nothing wrong with his people believing in him, after all, a lot of you put your faith behind guys like Bute and Mathysse, yet none of you are Argentinian or Romanian. What gives?Comment

Charlo Bros (Jermall), Charlo is getting too much hype for beating Centeno and Heiland. And when you suggest that Charlo is unproven against big punchers, or players that have chin and skill, all of a sudden they'll jump on you and talk smack how, he does this and does that. Bruh, get some wins over good MW's first before crowning him.Comment

Now I don't dislike any fighter, but way back in my day, it was a different story. When we took a motor car to the fights, we would have to park about a half mile away from the venue. We all made sure we had our onions on us to deter the roaming gangs of gays when we walked the rest of the way. Now "fightin' Joe Fisher" had 3 arms, which gave him an advantage in all his fights. His fans were awful making fun of "Bobby tripod Johnson", who had 3 legs, but only one arm. Both guys grew up in the same neighborhood right next to the chemical plant, so it was a neighborhood divided. We used to get into some major fisticuffs in the crowd. Joe Fisher fans were awful and I still hate them to this day. Them with their fancy clothes and extra limbs, thinking they were so high and mighty.Comment

Again, he got hyped because it was confirmed he got the best of Mayweather in sparring. It's 2018 and posters still talk about Morales and Spafadora getting the best of Floyd in sparring 20 years ago. The hype seems to be both warranted and commensurate with his accomplishments.Yeah, Spence got plenty of hype before Brook and he's still getting it from what I've seen.
Loma on the other hand, does get plenty but he's got GRJ, Walters and Rigo on the resume and is about to face Linares in his third division. He's not looking for easy fights at all and pushing himself toward greatness even though he doesn't really have to do so. I'm not saying he's the second coming. But his decisions on who he's fighting show a willingness to take risks and go for glory. Spence is doing that as well but his accomplishments thus far are Brook and Peterson, but I mean those pale compared to Loma's imo. I'm sure Spence will get Crawford and a lot of other guys in the ring and all and he's willing to push it too, but Loma's ahead of him right now I think.
But I remember how he was constantly hyped before the Brook fight and all he'd one was dispose of Algieiri and Bundu who aren't exactly world beaters.
But even so, his fans haven't detracted me from being a fan at this point, but they nearly did for a while.Comment
