So let us take an unbiased, factually accurate look at events leading up to today.

31st March - AJ outclasses and beats Parker

2nd April - Shelley Finkel states - "He is ready to sign and come to the UK"

11th April - AJ releases a statement “I’d rather fight Wilder so if Povetkin can wait some time in 2019, that would be ideal,” said Joshua.

12th April - It is reported that Eddie Hearn has sent an offer to Wilder's team. Finkel makes several claims, primarily that the offer is a "flat fee" and there is a "48 hour take it or leave it clause".

13th April - Long interview with Hearn, no mention of a 48 hour deadline. Claims fight can not be worth $100 million as Finkel claims.

AJ interview is released, says if it is a $100 million fight then Wilder and co should give him $50 million.

Soon after, Hearn states he will be going to the US, dual purpose of promoting Jacobs and organising a meeting with Finkel and co.

25th April - Thirteen days later, Wilder releases video claiming a $50 million offer. Newspaper reports suggest a "24 hour take it or leave it". AJ, via instagram, states "lets go".

26th April - Hearn claims the offer is a "PR move". States he must see a contract. He also states a further meeting would be beneficial for both sides.

27th April - Finkel and co release their email to Hearn, in which it states they will refuse to meet with their rival promoter unless AJ agrees to the $50 million offer. No mention is made of AJs social media post.

28th April - Hearn is in New York. Finkel, Haymon and Wilder refuse to meet.

This is direct from Finkel's email to Hearn. "“Please have Anthony accept the offer that he asked for and let’s get this fight made."

The stipulation for a possible meeting is AJ accepted, which happened the day of the offer for the world to see.

On top of that, Hearn first spoke of a meeting with Wilder's team last week, long before a $50 million offer, so why are Wilder and company setting up obstacles for a simple meeting? It's their job yet they seem to be shy.

If you put aside your personal opinions and all the propaganda, it is pretty easy to see who is willing to make the fight and who is not.

There should have been no reason to avoid a simple meeting between potential business partners. If it isn't cowardice, it is at the very least a very unprofessional way of acting and not worthy of a supposed world class group operating a supposed world class fighter.
