This. I scored the fight 7-5 for Jacobs, but had it 5-5 thru 10. This was a very close, hotly contested fight. Jacobs was not that sharp or accurate, particularly for a fighter of his quality. Sulecki got into a rhythm in the middle rounds, bouncing shots off of Jacobs' head. Unfortunately for Sulecki, he just doesn't have any power.
Sulecki got robbed?

did Jacobs come in under 190 LBs? maybe 189 LBS?Originally posted by MastrangeloI thought HBO did good job telling story of the fight.
On one hand Sulecki was able to reach Jacobs constantly and was workmen-like, but couldn't get Daniel's attention.
Then Jacobs was able to land 1-2 solid punches every round that were clearly heavier, more damaging.
I had it 115:112 Jacobs - but to me he only won 3-4 rounds clearly.. Sulecki on the other hand had maybe 2 really clear rounds...
It's what you like - but Sulecki felt that he lost and that Jacobs was strong and hard to nail, so I think even if you prefered Sulecki's work, you can't really call it robbery.Comment

It was a decent competitive fight but Jacobs was the winner. There was a fair few rounds where neither really dominated the round though.
Sulecki is pretty good. I don't think many fighters will be happily giving him a shot. He will probably give some good middleweights a decent competitive fight, for little reward. He'll have to earn mandatory shots or and get himself into some eliminators or something. Not that he'll be really ducked of course, he isn't that good, but there's probably easier fights at that level for the same rewards.Comment

look how much courage sulecki has compared to most top fighters. here is a light hitting JM taking on number one guy who enters the ring as a CW. meanwhile top guys avoid each other. sulecki stepped up Jacobs stepped downIt was a decent competitive fight but Jacobs was the winner. Sulecki put up a great effort and dominated some of the rounds he won, but I don't think he won more than three or four rounds. There were a few swing rounds, but I don't think we can make a case for a Sulecki win or even a draw, especially with the knockdown.
Whenever the underdog performs well and the favorite doesn't look as good expected, it causes a knee jerk reaction with the fans and they cry robbery. Ironically this is what happened in the GGG-Jacobs fight, although it was a little closer than last night's fight.Comment

It wasn’t a robbery, 7-5 Jacobs
One less point for Sulecki Because of the knockdown.
Look the one judge was dilusional at 117-110 that was Ortiz jr. Judge Weisfeld had it right 115-112. Close competition last night, I believe the body punches were the difference in the fight.
Sulecki was in the fight up until the knockdown, he did some very good things in the bout, his hand speed and quick right hand caused problems for Danny.
Sulecki defense was pretty good as well. Jacobs was just a little bit stronger . I really enjoyed the competition. 115-112 was the proper score.
And that’s thatComment
